I’m a conservatory student who has experience with teaching at a beginner and intermediate level. I’m a very positive and flexible teacher, so I adapt fully to the needs of my students. I am a professional violinist with a master degree at Luca School of Arts in Leuven. My teaching experience is more than 10 years and I have played with many symphonic orchestras and explored different music styles. I'm a flutist who just ended the Master in Antwerp Conservatory obtaining high distinction result and I have experience on teaching flute from debutants (children or adults) until preparing audition for students who want to enter a conservatory. I also have experience on teaching solfège and for people interested on starting music (both flute and music theory). I can combine everything in one lesson. I am a professional oboist with over 20 years of specialised music education in England, Germany, and Belgium and performing experience with some of the best orchestras in the world including the London Symphony Orchestra, Gurzenich Orchestra in Koln, and National Orchestra of Belgium. I focus on giving saxophone lessons to people with a solid or basic foundation who wants to improve or start improvising. This course is especially for those who feel stagnant in improving their music skills. I will actively analyse your areas for improvement and provide personal guidance and methods. I am very aware that each person thinks differently while improvising: personal exercises are given, depending on your needs. Applied music theory lessons are a support of this class. I integrate chord theory into practical saxophone lessons, making a key connection between ear and theory. I started playing classical saxophone, and I am currently a Jazz saxophone student at the conservatory of Brussels. Switching to Jazz made me analyse my own behaviour in improvising, which I find a crucial step in development. Feel free to reach out!
