Graduated from the Lyon Conservatory in cello, musical training and with a double Master's degree in cello and double bass from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels I give lessons for all levels, all ages. You like Bach suites for solo cello, the music of Telemann, Chopin, tangos, etc. It is possible to learn music at any age and I would be happy to support you on your journey. You do not have an instrument, I will lend you one during the first lesson and can guide you in your search for an instrument afterwards. I teach at my home, at yours in Ixelles, Etterbeek, Saint-Gilles, Forest, Uccle, Watermael-Boitsfort and in Brussels. Possibility of giving lessons by Zoom or other. About the Lesson: Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills? In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument. I will guide and help you to achieve this goal by providing the following classes: - Contrabass (Jazz and Classical and any other style) - Bass Guitar (Any modern style) - Music Theory - Solfeggio/ Ear training - Jazz Harmony All these classes can be taught seperately. Nevertheless, during our instrumental lesson we will cover a portion of the material of all the modules.

I offer double bass lessons for all levels and ages. You can also learn the bass instrument used in the baroque period, the Violone. Hello! My name is Bjørk and I’m a professional double bass player living and teaching here in Amsterdam. I have 2 diplomas in Jazz Bass from Sweden and a degree in Jazz Bass Performance from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I love teaching and I have taught since 2016. And I love the bass! I teach double bass, electric bass, composition, improvisation and music theory. I have experience teaching complete beginners with zero prior musical knowledge to more advanced players. All the bass methods that I use also have an online audio (play along), so you can also play the pieces in your house, play along with the online audio: Pop/Funk, Latin/Jazz, Classic, etc. The lessons are for all ages/levels and are taught in Dutch, English, Spanish, Catalan or Portuguese.
