- Courses offered in English and/or French. - Exploration of pieces belonging to the 4 main movements of classical music: baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary. - Development of technique, notably sound (tone and vibrato) as well as breathing. - More modern approach, i.e. lessons focused less on music theory and more on musical sensitivity as well as technique, which, I find, are essential to fully experience the happiness provided by music. - If you have a piano at home, I would be happy to accompany you so that you can discover chamber music as well as the techniques necessary for playing in a duo. It's another way of experiencing the transverse flute which is very fun and interesting for your musical development. - All levels welcome! My primary goal is to make you love your classes; I therefore adapt to you, your desires and your needs.

Hello everyone!:) My name is Monika and I’m a 2nd year student at Royal Conservatory in Brussels. I love to work with people and share my knowledge that I gained throughout the years by attending a lot of lessons and masterclasses with great professors. If you would like to start playing flute or develop your flute playing I would love to help you and share everything that I learned:). We can work with different repertoire, the most important thing is to find one that suits you the most and one that you have the most fun with! I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.
