Economics GCSE & A level tuition (Taught by a past A* student)

I have recently completed my first year at University studying Bsc Mathematics with Accounting and Finance, I am predicted a First. I am looking for students to tutor on a subject I am highly passionate about. I am a sociable character and I strongly believe in a dynamic and personalised approach.I have had previous tutoring for economics (year 13 onwards) and believe this experience has taught me clearly how to provide best to different students needs. I'll mainly be focusing on content, exam knowledge as well as exam skills (I completed Edexcel Economics A, however AQA is similar). I am open to new teaching methods and I will be able to work at flexible hours and have had past tutoring experience. My model essays and own resources will also be available for a more engaging teaching method. Get to know my top tips and advice I wish I knew before which got me from a low B to a A*.

My services include a in depth study plan and structured resources for re/learning content, as well as marking essays and giving feedback. I am also able to provide tuition for A-level English literature AQA board B and certain GCSE subjects. I offer in my lessons in person at the students' house, in person at my house and online via zoom/microsoft teams/skype.

About Me

I have recently finished my A-levels and I am now looking to tutor students specifically for GCSE and A-level economics. I was previously tutored for economics (from the start of yr13), and believe that I can transfer these skills and use my experience to deliver a personalised learning plan.I would describe myself as a driven and ambitious character that is well organised. My work ethic is shown in everyday life as I complete each task with my best efforts.

Education

Secondary school: GCSE Grades 6-8, including Mathematics, English literature, Economics, Geography, Spanish and Physics at grade 8
Sixth Form: A levels in Economics, English literature, Mathematics

Experience / Qualifications

I have recently tutored a student for six months teaching them different modules from the GCSE OCR economics board, and have many unique resources such as essays, content sheets and past paper practise available. I was in charge of organising the students daily tasks, ensuring they had thorough subject knowledge and perfecting their exam technique. I have also been tutored for A- level economics (year 13 onwards), and have learnt a lot from this experience and how to deliver the content in a more memorable way.

Deanna was prompt and well-prepared. She clearly knows the GCSE syllabus really well, and made a very positive start to tutoring my daughter.

Tutoring subjects mavo, havo, vwo, ng/nt package incl business economics.
In tutoring, the focus is not only on knowing the material but also on learning to learn. This skill makes learning easier and more fun. In addition, this skill is also needed when the student continues studying and it is therefore extra important to develop this.

Experienced Teacher & IB Examiner of Business & Economics. This includes IGCSE & AQA Business & Economics
Economics is a science. But it's not rocket science. Let me guide you through the matrix of Economics. I've been teaching Economics and Business Management for over ten years now domestically as well as internationally to a variety of students from countries such as the UK, Colombia, the UAE and currently here in Japan. I love teaching both these subjects as they are relatable, vocational, scientific, philosophical and require a lot of discussion and debate. I welcome and encourage critical thinking, analysis and evaluation of all topics covered. There's never been a better time to teach and study either Economics, Business Management or both. I'm also an IB examiner for both subjects so can help you meet the IB exam requirements in your preparations either with IAs or exam papers. Given my experience, and enthusiasm for teaching, my tutoring is guaranteed help you succeed.

Jerry
GCSE and A Level Economics Classes with "The Tutor"
You already know a lot more about economics than you might imagine. Each day, you make economic decisions, such as choosing between two teachers at Apprentus. You also come to class with years of experience in Economic matters. If you are in the UK and are 14 years old and above, you might have worked part-time before and therefore supplied your labour. Supply of labour is an important concept that you might have heard of or learnt about. Do not worry if it is new to you - you may study it if you take this class. But as you may have realized, it is something related to work, so if you have worked before, you know it already. Given students' prior experiences, I teach through examples that draw on these experiences. These examples build bridges from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Through this approach to teaching, I became one of the sought-after Economics tutors in my previous schools, where I worked with students at Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering in them a love for Economics. I bring a well-rounded understanding of AQA AS/A level and GCSE Economics Specifications and familiarity with the following textbooks: 1. Powell, James., Powell, Ray., & Horner, David. (2023). AQA a-Level Economics (5th ed.). Hodder Education Group (AQA Approved) 2. McEachern, W. A. . (2006). Economics: a contemporary introduction (7th ed.). Thomson/South-Western. Though the course is designed to help learners studying AQA GCSE or A Level Economics, it is appropriate for learners studying other specifications such as ORC Economics and all lovers of the subjects.

A level Economics: Content, Structure and Perfection
A-level Economics is a significant step up from IGCSE and AS-level Economics. It can often seem daunting, leading some students to struggle with the basics and ultimately underperform. In the worst-case scenario, this can even extinguish their interest in a potentially rewarding career path. This course takes an innovative approach to breaking down the fundamentals of economics using real-world examples to foster a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, students will gain valuable A-level tips and tricks to significantly boost their grades and aim for A* or A. The course is led by Ameer Sarfarazhusain, a first-year student at the University of Warwick. The University is ranked among the top 5 universities in the UK for its Economics course and top 3 for employability in top investment banks. Ameer has over 5 years of experience in student leadership roles and has taught various subjects to high school students. As the founder of the AYEP, he also delivers environmental economics classes to young people across the MENA region. AYEP has even partnered with the United Nations to contribute youth policy inputs to COP28 in Dubai. In conclusion, this course will expertly unravel the complexities of A-level Economics, setting students up for success and potentially opening doors to a fulfilling career.
