Math & Physics Tutor (Biology, Chemistry & Physics available for pre-university levels [GCSE, O/ A-level, etc])
My name is Dylan and I am a Masters student at Leiden University, studying Astronomy and Cosmology. I received my baccalaureate degree (B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy) from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2015. I graduated with the highest marks in the class, due not only to my study and hard work, but also my exam technique.
Therefore, in our lessons we will not only discuss the topics of the subject but also the exams associated with the subject. Being comfortable with the layout of the exam and the types of questions asked/language used is of huge benefit to our confidence, and therefore performance, in the exam.
To that extent, I offer to travel to a location of the students choosing for the lessons; the idea being that the student should feel more comfortable/confident in familiar surroundings and that a relaxed mind is conducive to learning. Webcam lessons are also available.
Math classes I took at university level include: Linear Algebra, Calculus of Several Variables, Differential Equations, Statistics.
Physics classes taken at university level include: Quantum Physics, Relativity, Electrodynamics, Mechanics, Cosmology, Spectroscopy
Computer Science classes include: C/C++ Programming, Image Processing & Analysis

About Me
My name is Dylan and I am a 27 year old Irishman. In my last 8 years of academia, I have excelled in exams and finished top of my class. This includes 4 years in secondary school and then each of the four years of my undergraduate degree. I would attribute my academic performance to not only my hard work and study but also my exam technique, which I refined over the years.I am a diligent tutor who would take as much time and care with our lessons as I did my own exams. I am always listening to students, not only for the things they say but also for what is being said "being the lines" or even not said at all.
I believe that teachers/tutors should be facilitators of learning and knowledge and not dispensers of it. A topic is remembered with much more clarity when one has explored it using their own methods and mind, rather than being told about the topic by someone more knowledgeable. Teachers should point students in the right direction along the path of learning, but not LEAD the student along with it.
I have provided the option for travel to the student's location - I feel learning is more feasible when a student is relaxed and comfortable in familiar surroundings - though I am aware that currently, this may not be many people's preferred method, so I am also offering online lessons.
Education
2011->2015 - Dublin City University - B.Sc in Physics with Astronomy - 1.1 degree.Currently - Leiden University - M.Sc in Astronomy & Cosmology - [in progress].

Personal training for the Pabo math test, all subjectsI offer personal guidance when practicing for the teacher training arithmetic test.
I have been providing tutoring and teaching in various subjects and subjects to students of all ages for years.
I myself have just obtained my bachelor's degree in linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. In VWO I followed a science & technology profile, which also taught me a lot about mathematics. I have also immersed myself in what the subjects of the teacher training college maths test are, so that I can help with the different types of assignments.

Mathematics and English Tutoring (Including test prep)I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. I have taught students with learning disabilities as well as students who are excelling in their studies making me well equipped to teach all kinds of students. I have experience as a math substitute at a secondary school (children aged 13-16) and therefore prefer to make a lot of mock exams and exercises myself. I like to keep parents as involved as possible and provide progress meetings outside of lessons. I have taught English to adults at a linguistics company for a year and have some experience teaching adults too. Even if you are an absolute beginner or seem to be struggling, I can find a way to help you learn better.

High school Mathematics and English tutoring lessonsHighschool is a difficult time with a lot of stress and pressure from teachers, parents and peers to do well. I remember the worry about getting good grades to be able to pursue what I wanted to.
My goal is to take some of this stress off by helping you learn and understand the course information. I try to incorporate activity into my lessons to keep it fresh and exciting. I aim to help improve your understanding of the syllabus so that exam days aren't as stressful. I look forward to tutoring you!

Math, English, Sciences for young adults and childrenSo far I've spent a large amount of time teaching my younger sister the basics of mathematics as well as science and languages.
I want to tutor people because it gives me an opportunity to help them in a way that a teacher could not. For me, it is very enjoyable to work with students of all ages that would like to learn. When I was younger, my grandfather used to help me, and I would like to pass that feeling on.
During my studies I've spent some time helping younger students in my programmer(IB) with their studies.
All though I was born and raised in Bulgaria, I have spent 7 years living in Austria in an English speaking environment, due to that, I speak fluent British English, as well as mother-tongue level Bulgarian and a very good German.
I am able to help individuals up until 9-10th grade.

Math tutoring for high school studentsAs a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!
We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.
The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:
1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.
2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.
3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.
4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.
5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.
I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.
In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.
