I offer personal guidance when practicing for the teacher training arithmetic test. I have been providing tutoring and teaching in various subjects and subjects to students of all ages for years. I myself have just obtained my bachelor's degree in linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. In VWO I followed a science & technology profile, which also taught me a lot about mathematics. I have also immersed myself in what the subjects of the teacher training college maths test are, so that I can help with the different types of assignments.

I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. I have taught students with learning disabilities as well as students who are excelling in their studies making me well equipped to teach all kinds of students. I have experience as a math substitute at a secondary school (children aged 13-16) and therefore prefer to make a lot of mock exams and exercises myself. I like to keep parents as involved as possible and provide progress meetings outside of lessons. I have taught English to adults at a linguistics company for a year and have some experience teaching adults too. I specialize in tutoring Mathematics and English for school and the SAT, GED exams. My goal is to help students understand the basics and work around problem areas they have in Mathematics. By teaching the meaning behind formula's and reasons for methods up until the correct solution is given. I find it is important to grasp an understanding and improve the learners understanding of the material. Working with numbers is very easy for me, as I have a distinction in mathematics on my High-School certificate and have passed university level mathematics. This will help me to explain why each process has to be done in solving any question/problem. In my English lessons, I teach proper grammar balanced with vocabulary. Teaching the importance of the different sounds in the English language to help with reading and writing skills. Once these are obtained then the next step is teaching how to hold conversation in English. I am also qualified to teach formal-business type English for anyone who needs to use English in a professional environment.

So far I've spent a large amount of time teaching my younger sister the basics of mathematics as well as science and languages.
