English and French courses/tutoring for every level

If your child can use some extra support with, for example, counting, (reading) reading or writing, I would like to offer my help. I have been giving tutoring to children of different ages for a few years now. I also have a lot of experience as a babysitter and as an au pair, so I'm used to working with children and helping them get ahead and helping them see how much they can actually do!

To live and reside in the Netherlands a certain level of Dutch is not only handy but also necessary if you want to have a job. As part of the process to become a Dutch national, you need a basic level of Dutch, being A1 to B2. I am a certified Dutch teacher with 6 years of teaching experience. Besides teaching Dutch to Dutch high -school pupils in the years 1- 4 mavo/ havo/ vwo, I also have extensive experience teaching Dutch to expats/ foreigners. I am therefore familiar with the “inburgeringsexamen” and the NT2 curriculum (Dutch for foreigners) for those who want to reside in the Netherlands. I am very knowledgeable and teach with passion, creativity and enthousiasm. I love the Dutch language and teaching it to others, as well as interacting with all types of cultures and age ranges.

My name is Marija and I've recently moved from Germany where I have been an English teacher in a private language school and Volkshochschule, and a private tutor. I am a passionate linguist who lives the languages. I teach all levels and prepare kids and young adults for exams and help them expand their knowledge. Languages are the most beautiful thing in the world and I always try to make language closer to the student, no need for pressure and stress, everything can be learned with little bit of patience and will :) I work with individuals and groups.

I have been teaching Mathematics and English at all levels for more than 3 years. My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. At the end of every few lessons, I like to give a small exam on what was learnt the past few hours. Just to see what can be improved or What has already become a plus.

I specialize in tutoring Mathematics and English for school and the SAT, GED exams. My goal is to help students understand the basics and work around problem areas they have in Mathematics. By teaching the meaning behind formula's and reasons for methods up until the correct solution is given. I find it is important to grasp an understanding and improve the learners understanding of the material. Working with numbers is very easy for me, as I have a distinction in mathematics on my High-School certificate and have passed university level mathematics. This will help me to explain why each process has to be done in solving any question/problem. In my English lessons, I teach proper grammar balanced with vocabulary. Teaching the importance of the different sounds in the English language to help with reading and writing skills. Once these are obtained then the next step is teaching how to hold conversation in English.
