Hello all! My name is Yiannis , I'm a third generation trombone player and I've been playing the trombone since 9 years of age. In 2017 I got my Trombone Diploma in Greece and since 2018 I have been studying Classical trombone at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I've had teaching experience from Greece and here alongside my bachelor's degree i acquired followed the minor in education. Teaching is really a very beautiful and enjoyable process from which both teacher and student learn a lot! I'm very passionate about music, and I'm able to teach you both classical trombone or pop if that's your cup of tea! I'm here to remind everyone that age is just a number and does not mean anything. I will teach you all you need to compose. People are often put off by this amazing creative process. I will make composing a pleasurable experience by breaking down some of its most complex elements: theory, techniques, arranging and orchestration. I have a practical approach aimed at maximising my students' learning and amplifying their musical voice.

The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. And we will address repertoires according to the age and taste of the student. we will draw a path with short, medium and long term goals. we will build a technical routine and healthy habits to progress correctly. In addition, we will select musical pieces by mutual agreement to mature the technical development hand in hand with musical growth. I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults. For me it is very important to make music from the first lesson, because there must be a balance between technical practice and its application in small melodies or musical pieces. No matter the musical genre, we will always find a repertoire according to the level and interest of each student. If you already know how to play and you need to perfect a piece or prepare a recital or audition, you can count on my experience and accompaniment as well.

I'm available to teach any person who plays or wants to play the trombone, that includes some help on theory and music perception. My goal is to help the student understanding on how music works and flows, and how to have an efficient trombone playing. If this goal is reached, there's no one happier than me :) I can help also in choosing equipment (trombone, mouthpiece), as also giving tips for any matter related to this wonderful profession! I'm right now a freelancer in Luzern, where I did my Master's in Performance.

Hi, I'm Justine, I just finished my bachelor's degree at the Brussels Conservatory and I'm starting a training in pedagogy next year. I can teach beginners and intermediate players in cornet, trumpet or bugle. I am quite flexible in the methods used, there are always plenty of ways to help you progress. This class is for beginner-intermediate-advanced musicians who aim to explore more about music and get better at their playing on their instrument. This doesn't refer only to professional but includes amateur and passionated students interested about how to gain more music knowledge. Music is one. there's no differences between its styles. Learning it means learning about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses and the class will be self designed for the student starting from his/her desires. moreover music will be researched eventually from its main topic such as improvisation, time feel, resonance and intonation for brass , harmonic knowledge and music theory.

Playing the trumpet requires effort and discipline. However, that doesn't mean it can't be fun. Based on my own experience, I will teach you to love the instrument and enjoy the hours of study as I do. My classes adapt to all levels, from inexperienced beginners to intermediate/advanced levels. Thanks to my experience, I have a large number of methods available that adapt to each student, so you will receive a private class where we will see the most important aspects for you and your trumpet technique. My teaching method is as follows without the instrument: Awareness of the breath, placement of the mask (lips, tongue, palate, throat), body position. With the instrument: The air column, the position of the mouthpiece, the work and the position of the tongue. How to be enduring on the trumpet and get tired as little as possible. For the advanced: work on the treble, the brass section, precision, Cat Anderson's whisper g, the choice of mouthpieces, the piccolo trumpet. There are also balms to relax the facial muscles, flush out lactic acid, oxygenate the blood and reduce swelling. Subsequently or for the students who play correctly, we will work on the classic program of the technique with French and American methods, work of improvisation and decryption.

Individual upper brass (apart from French Horn) and/or music theory lessons from beginner to advanced either online or at your house. For all ages and abilities but must have own instrument. Whether you want to do grades (ABRSM board) or just play for fun, I tailor every lesson to you and I aim to increase your confidence in yourself.

The arts are vital for development and self expression. As children we learn, play and communicate with songs and rhymes, as we get older our music taste can often help in defining and finding out more about ourselves. There are also studies showing that learning an instrument can aid communication skills, maturity and keep the brain functioning into older age. In my lessons I aim to teach instruments to anyone who is interested in exams, playing for fun or if they want to learn another skill for it’s mental benefits. I have a grade 8 in trumpet, singing and organ and i have experience playing in a variety of different ensembles and genres. I have also taught many people theory, instruments and exam techniques for music. If you’re interested in any of the instruments I offer lessons but are hesitant to start. I urge you to give it a go.
