I specialize in teaching about Music and how to play the Guitar. In class, I always make an effort to understand what are the goals and interests of all students, as well as their skills. This way we can address the issues at hand more effectively and make sure the student never loses his/her interest and focus in music and his/her instrument. I believe that an honest and friendly relationship between teacher and student is essential for this exchange of ideas to happen more clearly and fluently, so I do my best to make everyone feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts freely. I offer good and personalized classes. This means that there will be special care with your interest in music and guitar, all basic skills will be worked upon and strengthened, all specific requests and ideas will be addressed, both improvisation and interpretation can be developed, and exploring potential, achieving goals and having fun are main priorities. I am a 32-year old composer, electric guitarist and songwriter based in Den Haag, teaching composition, music theory, and score writing. I teach in English or in Greek. I am half Greek and half Scottish and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last 6 years. I offer lessons in all styles, to all age groups, and for any experience level (ranging from students who want to learn how to read and write music to create their first score, up to more experienced composers who are looking for fresh ideas and improving their skills to really make their music shine, or who are looking for help polishing their composition portfolio for entrance exams). Face to face lessons are preferable, but I also teach online. I am a patient and open minded teacher, and my desire is to help you learn what you want to learn, and make sure you enjoy and take pride in your music, explore a breadth of musical ideas that can inform your work, learn to express your musical ideas as best as possible and nurture your curiosity and excitement about the world of music creation ! My Credentials: I hold a Bachelors of Music degree from Birmingham Conservatoire (UK), and a Masters of Music from The Hague Royal Conservatory. My compositions have been performed in venues such as The Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam), TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht), Korzo Theatre (Den Haag), Casa de Musica (Porto), Onassis Stegi (Athens) and at music festivals including Music in PyeongChang (South Korea), Tectonics Athens (Greece), Gaudeamus Muziekweek (Netherlands). My experience as a performer range from classical guitar studies, to playing electric guitar in rock bands, as well as experience as an improviser, performer of notated contemporary classical compositions, creator and performer of ambient and electronic music. I also am very experienced in ambient and electronic-influenced guitar music, which has given me an in depth knowledge also of the guitar in combination with technology such as guitar effects, computer software and multichannel setups which expand the audio palette of the guitar. I have written songs, I have written orchestra pieces, I have worked as a DIY home producer, I have released albums, and I've performed in concert halls, rock venues, squats and festivals. I even some experience in beat-making. My music has been performed in and has taken me to several countries, including Portugal, The Czech Republic, The U.S.A., Canada, Korea, Greece, The U.K., The Netherlands. My Teaching style: My emphasis is to teach you based on your interests and your needs. The lessons are based around each individual student. You bring me the music you are creating and the skills you want to develop as a composer, and I build my lessons around that. My primary goal is help you develop your voice as a composer, so the starting point for our lessons will always be your music. My aim is always to help you find what the heart of your composition is about, and help you to bring this out and really make it shine. To help illustrate ideas about topics we discuss I will bring examples that can help inform the music you are creating, we will explore ideas of arrangement, orchestration, rehearsal leading and / or production to help flesh out your music, as well as music theory and using scores of other composers.

All ages are welcome to join! About Me: I’m a countertenor who recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Early Music Voice from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. With years of dedicated training and a deep passion for the art of singing, I am well-prepared to guide you on your musical journey.

My lesson will depend on each student's goal. If you are a student who wants to learn an instrument as a hobby and has never had contact with an instrument before, I will teach you the basics (from holding the violin and bow and playing easy tunes on the violin to teaching how to read notes and rhythms). If you are a student with years of experience and already know the basics, I can help you with the repertoire you are playing, or give you and prepare new pieces with you, I will help you improve your practice sessions and help you prepare auditions or performances. I give lessons in English or Portuguese but can also manage to speak Spanish

My violin and viola lessons are available for people of all ages, from the ones starting with the instruments until the pre-bachelor level. In them, I will help students to control their instruments in an easy way, from basic technique to specific to each chosen work, in addition to giving great importance to posture, movement, and body care, crucial for musicians. Although my main instrument is the viola, I also have extensive knowledge of the violin.

I can guide you through your steps into the music composition world. With experience both in concert music and music for audiovisuals, I can teach you to think like a creator and shape your pieces the way you want. An experienced piano teacher at your location will give you or your children lessons in classical piano and music theory. You can choose between free program, classical ABRSM or Trinity programmes, either as a beginner or a higher level student.

I'm a bassoonist from Latvia currently studying in The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. I have experience teaching the bassoon in a professional music school and I have prepared my students for youth competitions and auditions for youth orchestras. I will also gladly teach music theory for people interested to improve their knowledge or start from scratch. I can also, of course, combine both in one lesson. I enjoy playing the bassoon together with my students and I believe that playing in an ensemble benefits musicians on every level.

Guitar Technique – From scales, chords, arpeggios, sight-reading to fingerings, picking/plugging methods, speed, and accuracy. Rhythm – Timing precision/freedom, polyrhythms, odd meters, and coordination. Theory, Harmony, and Composition – Using examples from Classical to Pop and Jazz music to learn how to use harmony in a functional but yet free and creative way. Improvisation – How to improvise melodically over different chord schemes but also broader aspects such as building and breaking tension waves and telling an artistic story. Song Learning - Just learn how to play your favorite song and jam with your favorite bands.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. Classes can be given either in English, Spanish, French or Deutsch. There are no limit for styles, bring your favorite music and I will provide a safe environment for your personal and musical growth. In that time I engaged with many different exam boards at GCSE and A level delivering a range of different courses. I am passionate about all aspects of music, whether it be performing, composing or listening and analysis. Whatever you need help with, I am very keen to be able to offer my expertise in any or all of these areas. Each of the three disciplines is intrinsically connected with the other two and having a good grasp of all three will enable you to improve your ability overall.
