About Me
Welcome to my class!I am Laura i am 22 years old, originally from Madrid and currently student of the Early Music department at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag
In Madrid and in Berlin I had all piano and music theory students of different origins and ages.
My lessons are based on individual, person-centered piano and harpsichord education.
I prepare the selected works at the request of the student.
I pay special attention to
- the rhythm and the musical expression of the pieces used
- the colorful variety of keys and characters in the repertoire
- as well as the parity of training both hands separately

I obtained my Jazz Music Master's program at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen in June 2022.
Previously, in 2018, I graduated from my music Bachelor's at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona (Spain).

Muziektheorie voor beginners en gevorderden in Den HaagYou can choose one or both of the following subjects: Harmony (chord/scales, tonalities/progressions, modulations, etc.) and/or Solfège (rhythm/aural skills, pitch/sight-reading, writing scores...).
The method I use also has an online audio (play along), so you can also practice in your house, play/sing along with the online audio: Classical and/or Jazz music theory; In any case, fun is paramount!
There's also the possibility to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (Chords/Harmony), and/or Jazz Hanon (Chord-Melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (also with your own Compositions/Tunes, etc.), so we we can see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

Piano Lessons for All Ages
My piano lessons are for teenagers, adults, and children (from 7 years old).
Piano Beginner Lessons
As a beginner, you will learn the basics of playing piano through fun and instructive exercises, easy classical repertoire, and your favorite pop songs. We will learn how to read music scores in a practical and easy method! From there, we will slowly get into more difficult pieces, building a comfortable and enjoyable way of playing.
Advanced and Piano
Are you a more advanced player interested in learning more about classical music and seeking ways to take your piano playing to the next level? Dive into different styles or how to play chamber music?
Goals for Learning
We'll focus on a relaxed posture, dexterity, articulation, toucher, personalized exercises, scales, arpeggios, etudes. Enjoy playing your favorite pieces by Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, Rachmaninov, and Einaudi to pop.
Music Theory
Music theory is just as important as playing an instrument and my lessons combine practice and theory. Learn about rhythmical structures, and the way melodies are built and gain a deeper understanding of harmony and music history.
What to expect?
Playing the piano is a very demanding activity that requires time and patience, however, it can be extremely fun! Feeling the power of creating sound through your own hands is an amazing experience that we all should feel. In the lessons, You will also learn how to practice in a time-saving way. For that, I will give you clear and practical instructions.

About Me
Over 10 years ago I moved from a small town in the north of Spain to Barcelona, and since then I have followed some of the most important conservatories in Europe: Liceo Conservatory in Barcelona, Amsterdam Conservatory, and The Royal Conservatory of The Hague. During the last few years, I have been fortunate to offer concerts in Italy, Germany, France, and Spain, and I won first prizes in International Chamber Music Competitions. At the moment I am combining my chamber music and soloist concerts with piano teaching.

Piano lessons for all levels (with music theory if wanted)As an experienced solo pianist and ensemble player, I would love to share with you my passion for music. I believe that practicing an instrument can be a great activity for everybody. It trains coordination, memory, and multitasking skills and brings a lot of satisfaction and fun.
We can adjust activities in our lessons to your personal goals. Whether you want to apply for music school, prepare for a competition, learn how to read music notation, accompany somebody, or just play for your own enjoyment.
We can focus on the repertoire that you would like to play - classical, pop, or film music. I can also teach music theory if you would like to.

Piano and basic music theory lessons for all ages and levelsHi! I am a classically trained pianist holding one Master's Degree from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and another from Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo do Porto, Portugal (ESMAE). I have been teaching for the past 6 years and I am open to adapting my methods to each student. I like to teach my students how to navigate music with and without scores, encouraging them to explore the keyboard through basic improvisation games or ear training.
In my lessons, my students will be able to learn how to read scores, learn basic music theory, or develop their piano technique. Being it through classical or pop music (or any other type of music the student likes), I hope to be able to share my love for music with my students and encourage them to explore their more creative side.

Learn and discover Music Production, Vibraphone & KeyboardsThe moment of engagement between the performer and the listener it is the most intense feeling I’ve ever felt. It is a very unexpected moment, it just happens and there you are holding your instrument in front of people you are sharing your performance with. Suddenly everyone is waiting for you to continue the story you have been telling and everyone is just at the same time on the same place and you have what they need: a message they want to hear and they know you will share it with them. So once you do you reach that sensation, that moment, and what happens afterwards it is magic! It is absolutely wonderful how one, a hundred or even thousands of humans can be on hold for the same message and once it is delivered they just feel it the same exactly way as you do.
This sensation is not only happening on a performance but also on a teaching situation. I’ve been teaching for some year from children to adults and I discovered that if you put all your energy all your love and passion and you give it all as a teacher or as a student you can reach this magical communication levels! Which makes a lesson such an experience! That is why as a teacher I am mostly focused on creativity and trough it the discoveries of your instrument always basing this process on your goals and ambitions which are the most important pillars of a musician!!
I would be happy to teach you:
PERCUSSION
- For all levels and style, from classical percussion to world music.
VIBRAPHONE
- For all levels and style, mostly focused on jazz
KEYBOARDS & PIANO
-For beginners on classical music and all levels on jazz or any other modern style
MUSIC PRODUCTION
This are examples of what I am able and willing to share with students of any level and on any need:
- The world of music production software (Ableton Live, Logic Pro,...)
- How to record myself
- How to compose music (pop, funk, jazz, latin, etc) by using a computer
- How to create beat music
- How to use a looper and other digital effects
- Discovering the world of plug-ins and virtual instruments
- What is music production and how to use it
Shortly, I have never stopped studying since I was 8 years old, I’ve graduated on classical percussion on Jazz vibraphone and currently finishing my masters on how to play vibraphone and Keys at the same time. Trough this time i’ve being participating with classical orchestras ( Orquesta Gaos, Joven orquesta sinfonica de Galicia,...) on different percussion festivals as a player and as a teacher ( Perkulliria, FIP Agolada,...) and on many different style bands ( Skarallaos, GHASS, Fhree, Qando Vand,...). Currently working with MAMIHLAPINATAPAI a very personal world music project here in The Netherlands.

Do you want do learn how to play the piano? Jazz or classical? Piano, harpsichord and keyboard lessons!I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old. By that time I already could feel I would become a professional musician and teacher. I got my first bachelor in piano in 2007. When I was 13 years old, I started having harpsichord lessons and expanding my knowledge of classical and early music. In 2012 I got my bachelor degree in harpsichord and in 2014 my master degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Currently, I’m working with my ensemble, teaching piano and harpsichord, and am now doing my Ph.D. in Performative Arts at Leiden University
I absolutely love to teach and pass my experience as a musician to my students on both instruments. I like to see them improving and have fun while playing.
I work with several ways of teaching, depending on the student level and music background.
Normally I work with piano methods with kids from 9 -12 years old. I can teach music theory if necessary and if it will improve the student’s needs to progress and reach their goals, I do that with pleasure. Harmony and a bit of keyboard improvisation are also very welcome to the class.
My specialty is classical music, more specifically, baroque music, although I have notions of pop, jazz, and improvisation. Because I have sporting and personal training backgrounds, I’m specialized also on correcting postures and eventually avoid or solve pain issues when regarding playing.

Piano Lessons - all ages and levels - Graduated pianist with concert and teaching experienceHello! I'm a 25-year-old pianist finishing his Master's degree in Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. I have ample experience as a teacher, and performing as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestra keyboardist, and accompanist. I have been teaching since 2018 and love working with people of all kinds of music tastes. I will adapt to your musical interests and help you accomplish your objective.
On top of a piano teacher, I am a great piano coach, being able to help my students get where they want with the piano, even if they struggle with motivation to practice. I am easygoing, and I adapt to your expectations and rhythm, so we can work together in fulfilling your goals!
In my lessons, you will:
- Learn how to understand a score, with all the theoretical knowledge you need to approach the repertoire that you want to study.
- Learn how to practice the piano. Ever tried and struggled to focus or to develop as much as you wanted? I can help you with that.
- Learn to play the repertoire you want, with a step-by-step process that helps you develop more ability and security
- Learn the piano technique
- Learn how to enjoy music making! :)
For the more medium and advanced students, I also offer:
- Deep understanding of styles. I have done research on baroque and classical styles, and have studied with romantic, XXth century, and contemporary music experts, which has given me deep knowledge on how to understand the different styles of Classical Music.
- Advanced practice technique. Sometimes, the more you advance in the instrument, the harder practice can become. Know how to practice difficult technical passages and musical ideas.
- Sound control. Even if the sound in the piano might seem limited, it is not, it can simply be difficult to control. But it is the most important quality of a musical performance, alongside style.
- Great support. I will help you find motivation and organize your practice.
I also am a great support teacher. If you or your child is already studying in an institution and you want some extra help, I have always been able to help students who have found themselves improperly motivated by their main teacher, or who want help practicing.
Music is fun! Let's learn together.

Piano Lessons in Classical and Contemporary Styles for Beginning-Advanced Levels (ages 6 and up)Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student.
My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Piano lessons for all levels and ages. Relaxed teaching approach!I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide).
I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it.
My main goal is helping you achieving your goals and preparing the best lesson for you!
I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory.
I earned a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance, Classical Music (4 years). I have participated in numerous Piano Masterclasses in Europe and I studied with great pianists. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians, I believe learning never stops.
I have much to share with my students.
TEACHING STYLE
I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality.
I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos.
I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits.
My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas).
I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same.
I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano.
I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation.
I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons.
CURRICULUM
I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years.
For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs.
Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible.
I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
Piano/Keyboard - Alfred , Hal Leonard, Abrsm Grade (1-8), Trinity Grade (1-8), Hanon etc.
REVIEWS from Another Lesson Platform
(5/5) Pascale from France | In-Person Lessons

Gabriel teaches piano to our son and daughter more than 1 year now. He is clear in his indications, friendly and he really put his heart in what he's doing . He highly recommend him ! (5/5) . Marinela from Romania | Online Lessons
Gabriel’s teaching style is really impressive, the flow and the content of every lessons are very good and he has 4 CAMERAS that shows his face, keyboard and his view on a sideways so any student can visualize the proper posture and a clear view of the movement of his arms and fingers as he teach. My daughter is only 7 years old and as you can imagine asking her to sit for 1 hour to learn piano is quite a challenge but Gabriel handles it pretty well, and he is understanding of my child’s playfulness during the class and he knows also when to remind her to focus. Gabriel has an impressive amount of patience and knowledge about piano that’s why my daughter Ameco is enjoying and learning so much from him. I’m very happy we found him on Preply. And he’s quite flexible on the changes of schedule just give him a heads-up and he’ll cancel or change the schedule. Looking forward to more piano classes with him. I'm an architecture student and an 8th year long piano practiser. I begun taking piano lessons with Gabriel to brush up my skills and and to better understand music before pursuing a graduate degree into a French conservatory. Since the very first piano class with Gabriel, I became very enthusiastic about practicing and due to his patience and clarity to explain musical phrases, theory and interpretation rules, I started to feel and to understand better what I was playing. I warmly recommend Gabriel as a piano tutor to everyone willing to enrich his piano practice! His international experience as a pianist brings to his teaching methods a lot of patience and adaptability. During the classes, he is able to adjust our lessons to the level of instruction to meet our goals, and this, always by providing a positive and inspiring environment! I highly trust Gabriel's teaching process! (5/5) Maria from Romania | In-Person Lessons
I started classes with Gabriel a few years back, while I was having a terrible corporation job that made me stressed out and unable to focus most times. He had so much patience, even when he had to repeat the same thing time and time again, he ́s extremely dedicated, very professional and very kind hearted and friendly. Highly recommended to anyone willing to learn a new skill or improve an existing one! (5/5) Ioana from Romania | In-Person Lessons
