I am an incoming student at Codarts Conservatory and have a background in various music styles, improvisation, and composition. As a passionate and professional musician, I help you develop your innate talent for music-making and give you the space to develop your own musicality with heart and passion. Each lesson brings something new and will foster the development of your creativity and musical proficiency while having fun. Lessons are interactive, spontaneous, structured, and follow your natural curiosity and innate musical capabilities. My methods are tailored to the individual needs and goals of the students. I am particularly interested in the Kodaly and Faber methods of teaching music. Lessons are for children and adults of all ages. Hi there! My name is Norica. I am a pianist and a piano teacher from Tokyo. Just quickly to the point: My approach is holistic and systematic. It uses lots of fun exercises and nice educational materials from Japan in addition to the Internationally recognized standard books. (Don't worry, you don't have to understand Japanese!) You learn not only how to play piano but also how music works- music theory. I know what my students are good at and not so good at right off the bat. That's why I can tailor the lesson plans to their goals and needs. Also, if you like to take an ABRSM exam, the syllables will be tailored accordingly. So what will be tested on the day of the exam is integrated into the lessons and my class/lesson offers all-round preparation for the exam. I have helped my students pass G1, 3, 5 and 6 with a good score. Another important aspect of my lesson is to focus on improving cognitive skills - increasing memory, right-hand-left-hand-coordination, sustained attention, nonverbal communication, and a feeling of independence and freedom. I do so with unique materials from Japan and fun training. Currently students from 4 to 75 years old are taking my lessons. I specialize in teaching about Music and how to play the Guitar. In class, I always make an effort to understand what are the goals and interests of all students, as well as their skills. This way we can address the issues at hand more effectively and make sure the student never loses his/her interest and focus in music and his/her instrument. I believe that an honest and friendly relationship between teacher and student is essential for this exchange of ideas to happen more clearly and fluently, so I do my best to make everyone feel comfortable enough to share their thoughts freely. There are two grand pianos at the location in Den Haag. For children, it is important to develop basic musical skills through Singing, Rythmique, and Ear training besides piano playing. I use one technical exercise book, the main textbook, and a theory book. Through these 3 books, students learn different aspects of music and they naturally get ready for exams and grades. After acquiring basic skills, students study Harmony and Chord exercises too. These are useful for playing pops and jazz, and they obtain a deeper understanding of classical pieces too. Private Piano lesson, from age 4 and above. Children can start the lesson after being able to read the numbers from 1 to 5 and the alphabet from A to G. Advanced students who want to prepare for competitions, auditions, ABRSM, GCSE, IB exams, or the entrance exam of the conservatory. The concert is held annually together with students of flute, violin, and composition teachers. For the ages 1-7 years, I have group Rhythmique lessons.

I'm a 32-year old guitarist and composer based in Den Haag, teaching electric and acoustic guitar, in combination with music theory (if that is of interest to the student). I teach in English or in Greek. I am half Greek and half Scottish and I have been living in the Netherlands for the last 6 years. I offer lessons in all styles, to all age groups, and for any experience level (ranging from students who have never touched a guitar before, up to advanced players who are looking for new challenges). Face to face lessons are preferable, but I also teach online. I am a patient and open minded teacher, and my desire is to help you learn what you want to learn, and make sure you have fun with playing the guitar and nurture your curiosity and excitement about the world of music creation ! My Credentials: I hold a Bachelors of Music degree from Birmingham Conservatoire (UK), and a Masters of Music from The Hague Royal Conservatory. My experience as a guitarist ranges from classical guitar studies, to playing electric guitar in rock bands, as well as experience as an improviser, performer of notated contemporary classical compositions, creator and performer of ambient and electronic music. I also am very experienced in ambient and electronic-influenced guitar music, which has given me an in depth knowledge also of the guitar in combination with technology such as guitar effects, computer software and multichannel setups which expand the audio palette of the guitar. I have written songs, I have written orchestra pieces, I have worked as a DIY home producer, I have released albums, and I've performed in concert halls, rock venues, squats and festivals. I even some experience in beat-making. My music has been performed in and has taken me to several countries, including Portugal, The Czech Republic, The U.S.A., Canada, Korea, Greece, The U.K., The Netherlands. My Teaching style: My emphasis is to teach you based on your interests and your needs. The lessons are based around each individual student. You bring me the music you like and the things you want to learn, and I build my lessons around that. I've taught students everything from post-rock, to metal, to K-Pop to Nepalese songs... This way the student gets to explore music on their terms, and not based on a pre-decided set of songs or exercises. Alongside this I bring exercises and other songs that help build around the skills we learn through your songs, and help you develop the techniques needed for you to learn to play the music you love. Whatever music excites you I encourage you to bring it to our lesson, as this also gives me a chance to discover some new music ! What's more, depending on your interest, we can also explore music theory, ideas on composition and songwriting, even the basics of how to record your own songs at home. For experienced players: If you are an experienced player looking for new challenges and new perspectives, my wide ranging knowledge of music in a large spectrum of music will help you push your playing and knowledge of music into new worlds ! Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

As a self taught guitar player, I believe guitar is best learnt through songs you love, rather than from a book. I can take you through efficient paths to achieve your goals through my 8 years of trial and error learning guitar. Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. I have 8 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while passing on my knowledge to help the student develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music. I organize 2 class concerts per year in a beautiful venue, so that the pupils perform their favorite pieces and showcase their progress to family, friends, and classmates. Hi, my name is Galit and I am a professional recorder player. I have been performing in various ensembles and venues around Europe and Israel, playing baroque, medieval, renaissance and contemporary music which is the vast repertoire of the recorder. I graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I have been teaching in various platforms for over 20 years and I adapt the lessons to your needs, wishes and level. During our lessons I will teach you the skill set of mastering the recorder. Obtaining good technique, working on good posture and healthy breathing along side learning about the instrument and it's history. Learning to play the recorder is an opportunity to expend your horizons, be creative and learn the art of listening. Since then I have been working as a concert violinist, chamber musician (playing in small groups and ensembles) and as a freelancer in orchestras throughout the Netherlands. I am captain of the Doelen Ensemble in Rotterdam and a much sought-after collaboration partner for recording studios, dancers, composers of new and film music and theater makers. As a teacher I have experience in private education, special conservatory preparation and competition training, as well as as a guest teacher at the Brno Conservatory (Czech Republic). I play both classical acoustic violin and electric violin. In my classes I offer both traditional classical music training (technique and classical music pieces) based on my 20 years of work and study with leading teachers and violin virtuosos (the best of the Czech, American and Russian schools of technique), as well as lessons for those who only have enough want to learn to play and improvise with their favorite songs by their favorite singer. Hello there! Welcome to my profile. I am Rui and I teach piano. The piano is known as the most complete musical instrument of all. This is because when playing it we can get all kinds of characters and sounds: very deep basses or super soft high notes; delicate melodies or dense harmonies (almost like an orchestra sometimes). This is one of the reasons why I love to play the piano, its versatility adapts to my everyday mood. I would love to show you the wonders we can create with this amazing instrument! Lessons Every student is different, and by saying this I mean that I prepare every lesson specifically for each student. Some might be more shy, others might need more time to acknowledge some questions. I believe that music (much like everything else) should be taught with patience and motivation. You shouldn’t feel like you’re going against time, it should be the opposite. As a teacher, I always give priority to your motivation and excitement regarding the lesson’s activity. If I see that a student is not enjoying the lesson I have to improvise and turn it around. When teaching, the most important thing for me is that you learn while having fun. I have already some years of experience in giving piano lessons to people of all ages. I adapt the lesson content for every student individually, and I always give them the freedom to follow their musical taste and instincts. I also give a lot of focus to creativity and improvisation. At the end of the lesson, I usually save a few minutes for the student to decide what he/she wants to do: maybe a little 4-hand improvisation, or maybe play a piece they have already learned and that they enjoy playing. About me Most of my studies and experience as a teacher took place in Portugal. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance in 2020. I moved to The Netherlands in 2020 to attend the Master Program in Classical Piano Performance in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. My academic studies were built on classical music but I also have some experience in pop and rock music. I hope this motivates you to study piano with me!
