I have been teaching for more than six years now and I managed to come up with an easy and approachable method for anyone who wants to learn the ways of this beautiful instrument. I started playing the guitar at the age of twelve years old, thru high school and that eventually led me to the National Conservatory of Bucharest, Romania, where I refined my playing and begun teaching. I am going to encourage you every step of the way with much needed advice on the right technique, score reading, so that you quickly gain confidence in your playing. I put a high importance on technique and theory because these two aspect, as well as your daily practice, are what will make you have fast progress and thus loads of fun along the way.

Learn how to use every single part of your voice and to sing everything you've always wanted to sing - all in a healthy way that actually feels good! I have a background in classical music and with this foundation, you will learn how to utilize your entire body in an aligned way that helps you find your true singing voice! We will explore sounds and sensations in our bodies, engaging different muscles groups in our abdomen and back, breathing exercises, and making various shapes with our mouths to change our sound. All of this (and more) falls within the larger concept of Vocal Technique, which every good singer needs to keep their voice healthy for many years to come. I will ask you the goals you wish to achieve, or we can figure them out together, so that you can see and feel real progress happening within your body and voice and understand how to practice and better your vocal technique at home too! We will also cover music theory basics where needed so that you become skilled in reading and sight-reading sheet music as well. My name is Daniil. I am a pianist and composer from Ukraine. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in composition, piano, and pedagogy at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2018 and my Master's in Music composition from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2020. The main power of music is in its ability to open up worlds of communication that are inaccessible otherwise. Therefore, in our lessons, we will use technical exercises, solfège, and music theory (if/when needed) to achieve the level of performance that will allow for the ultimate goal – having fun playing for or with your friends and family. Apart from working on your favorite pieces and classical repertoire, we will work on your skills of sight-reading and improvisation. We will also play pieces together, either on a piano in four hands or with me on the violin. I have almost ten years of experience teaching piano, composition, solfège, harmony and counterpoint, and music theory. Among my students were kids aiming for (and succeeding at) admission into higher music education institutions, conservatory students who needed help with their music theory and piano classes, and kids and adults who studied music in their spare time. No matter what your goal (or lack thereof) is for studying music, we will find an appropriate pace, structure, and repertoire. The classes can take place either at my house in Scheveningen or at a student's location in The Hague.

The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults. For me it is very important to make music from the first lesson, because there must be a balance between technical practice and its application in small melodies or musical pieces. No matter the musical genre, we will always find a repertoire according to the level and interest of each student. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing.
