I have taken Mathematics classes in primary, middle, and high school in Poland. When studying abroad in the USA I also took a Precalculus class. Studying, now, at Leiden University College I have also completed a Statistics course. I have learned a variety of topics in mathematics, whether it would be fractions, basic multiplications, divisions, graphs, quadratic equations, and many more. During my final year of high school, taking the International Baccalaureate Program and Mathematics Analysis and Approaches Standard Level, I received a 6 on the final exam. I would be able to tutor in preparation for exams, school work, basic comprehension, or better understanding of topics, or if one wants to expand their knowledge beyond what is required at school. Even though Mathematics can be logical and intuitive, at times it is also very complex and requires a lot of training to comprehend it. I believe teaching through practice is the best way to learn. Repetition is key to learning effectively, this way we may memorize the acquired knowledge for longer and successfully become more comfortable in mathematics. I am a professional English teacher with over 8 years experience in various teaching roles. I have experience of teaching all ages from 3 up to 65+ in group classes or 1-on-1. I would like to offer my services to help middle and high school students who face challenges with their schoolwork in maths and/or physics. My goal is to enhance their understanding of these subjects. In 2018, I graduated from the IB programme, having studied both maths and physics at a higher level. During a gap year, I gained teaching experience as a ski/snowboard instructor in Austria, specifically working with children and teenagers. This class will be helpful for both who are personally driven to the culture and language and who need to use it on a daily basis in their working/studying environment. The class can be adapted to the student's needs. Even though not fluent, I have spent half of my life in Italy, or academically involved with Italian culture and language. Therefore this class can be beneficial for those who would like to advance their knowledge. There will be a particular emphasis on the cultural aspect of the language that will be given in the teaching approach, both to familiarize the learner to the particular culture and to get deeper knowledge on the grammar and pronunciation.

Even if you’re not thinking of living and working abroad, that doesn’t mean you won’t find English a helpful language to put on your CV. I'm a native of Spanish and English and proficient in Mandarin Chinese (HSK6). I completed my Chinese studies in 2019 in Harbin, China. I have been working as a Spanish, English, and Mandarin Chinese tutor online for two years and work at the Confucius Institute of the Dominican Republic as a mandarin tutor throughout 2019-2020. Over the last year, I have had over 250 students from all over the world and 1000 lessons. More than 100 out of 250 students are kids aged 5-15. For the kids, I will always prepare some extra material, and having a parent during the first lesson is always recommended ;) My main aim is to make you feel comfortable during our lessons, create a comfortable setting for you, and modify the class to your liking.
