World History and Social Studies Lessons from International Student-Teacher
The subjects of World History and Social Studies are often left aside as they are seen as less useful that the other subjects, but I believe children can learn a lot from observing and learning about what happened in the past and what happens today. I want to share my knowledge about these subjects with them while also helping them managing the knowledge they already have and need to learn. In schools, history is often taught through learning dates and events but history should be taught in the form of a story, which is easier to remember, and the useful information will stick longer.
I am willing to help my students with the homework they have as well and teach them some skills in how to organize and manage the work they receive.
I have teaching experience in international schools in Qatar, Italy and the US with students in middle school and high school, having taught the American curriculum and the International Baccalaureates curriculum.
Thank you for your time :)

About Me
Hi!I'm a 21-year-old student studying to become an international teacher. I am Belgian but I grew up in France, where I learned to speak French on a native level and learned Dutch through international schooling and my family. I have C1 level in English (Cambridge) as it is mandatory for international teachers. The subjects I teach are History and Social Studies, for which I have a wide range of knowledge and I am keen to learn even more.
I want to show students and people there is a lot to learn from observing the past and even today's events, and that History doesn't have to be the boring subject taught in schools for the sole purpose of learning dates.
I am pleased to get to know you and your children :)
Schools always give a lot of homework for students to do at home. This might lead to some children struggling with managing the homework, doing the homework or organizing their workload. Furthermore, parents do not always have the time to work on this. Admittedly, this is not an easy task and takes a lot of discipline from the student and not being able to do it often takes a toll on the students' mental well-being and their grades at school.
I want to help the students foster that discipline and learn ways to manage and organize all the work that is expected of them. The courses would start with regular help with their homework and just spending time with them working on things, and the faster they improve the more I can teach them skills and tricks they can use to organize their workload and do it all on their own!
I have teaching experience in international schools in Qatar, Italy and the US with students in middle school and high school, having taught the American curriculum and the International Baccalaureates curriculum. Having taught so many different students, from different cultures and families, I have had my share of experience in terms of homework.
Thank you for your time :)

Help with homework, acquisition and mastery of knowledgeHello, my name is Audrey!
I am a teacher, expatriate in Southeast Asia, I give online and face-to-face courses in Bangkok.
Over the past five years, I have had the opportunity to help numerous students in France and abroad, with attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, dysorthography, or simply those seeking self-confidence.
My studies led me to work on many and very diverse subjects but above all to learn and quickly master many concepts and knowledge!
To achieve my goals, I had to develop tricks and use methods, starting with preparing for the BACCALAUREAT. I therefore know how discouraging, frustrating and even impossible it can sometimes seem.
Also, I propose to support you to help you prepare for and succeed in your baccalaureate in the best conditions! (stress management, oral expression for Grand Oral and language orals, methodology for responding to subjects even when the knowledge is not all known or mastered, etc.).
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I will be happy to talk with you about your expectations, your objectives and my working method.

Global History & Society: From Empires to Modern NationsThis course introduces secondary and sixth-form students to the evolution of global civilizations, with a focus on comparative history, political thought, and social transformation. Drawing on 30+ years of experience teaching History and Liberal Studies in Hong Kong—including at A-Level and university level—I guide students through themes such as colonialism, revolutions, global conflicts, and modern political ideologies.
Each lesson combines primary source analysis, critical discussion, and structured writing skills (essays, arguments, and document-based questions). Ideal for students preparing for GCSE, A-Level, or international entrance exams.

Bilingualism and Code-Switching: by popular demandIn these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students.
Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English.
My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual.
For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Personalized history and social studies classes. Grading and tutoring of practical work. Academic and secondary levels.I am a history teacher, having graduated with honors from UNLu and honored by the National Academy of History as the highest national average. I have been focused on private education for over half a decade, both at the academic and secondary levels.
Beyond my specific academic training, I have been dedicated to the study of history and social sciences for 20 years (and to the creation of a library—of almost 2,000 volumes—that is available to students: if any material is required, it is digitized and sent).
I specialize in ancient history, medieval history, Argentine history, history of religions, and more. I have extensive knowledge of philosophy, theology, and the history of ideas. I also teach classes in politics, sociology, anthropology, art history, economics, and other social sciences that make up the corpus of history as a discipline.
In addition to teaching highly prepared and personalized classes, he can also guide, direct, and assist in the creation of practical projects or dissertations, whether group or individual.
For academic or school work, grammar and style corrections are also provided, along with tutoring to ensure the work is perfect.
Classes are delivered in a constructive manner, with the key focus being on students truly understanding the subject matter, developing an interest in it, and discovering how their daily lives connect with what they are studying. Beyond academic depth and the presentation of the subject matter, a fruitful dialogue between professor and student is highly valued.
This is my particular approach to teaching, but it may vary depending on the needs of each student.
I'm also interested in sharing study techniques—beyond the specific topic we're going to cover—that adapt to each student's needs, since it's not just what you study that's important, but how you study it.

Finally, the class prices shown in the ad are averaged and referential; the type of work to be done, the number of classes, and the different dynamics and realities make it difficult for me to come up with a "fixed" price for the classes. Teaching is an eminently human service, not a trade in goods. Therefore: contact me and let's talk.
