Dear future student! I can teach at home but also provide a location around the regions (Antwerp, Hasselt, Ghent or Leuven). Provided I have already completed my master's diploma tuba (euphonium) and master percussion and also follow a master trombone, I can teach different instruments. During the lessons there is the choice to implement solfège or to keep the lessons only instrument technical. I work very constructively and I like to listen to the wishes / goals of the student. In the lessons I work very specifically on the wishes and goals of the student. This can be a very classical training but also contain modern pop songs. He has a BM in Music Education, MM in Trumpet Performance, worked 5 years as a Music Director and lead trumpet player on Carnival Cruise lines and has continued freelance trumpet lifestyle. He now teaches trumpet online and from his home studio in Cherry Hill, NJ. He is also the owner of Triplo Press, one of the world’s largest publishing companies of trumpet ensemble music. In addition, he runs trumpet clinics for schools, where he teaches students how to improve their sound, endurance, jazz skills, ensemble playing, and trumpet ensemble creation. Some of his former students have been accepted to prestigious music schools such as University of North Texas, Oberlin, and Ithaca.

Hi, I'm Justine, I just finished my bachelor's degree at the Brussels Conservatory and I'm starting a training in pedagogy next year. I can teach beginners and intermediate players in cornet, trumpet or bugle. I am quite flexible in the methods used, there are always plenty of ways to help you progress. I am classically trained musician with a Diploma in Trumpet Teaching and over 20 years of music experience, including symphony orchestras, wind and jazz bands.

My teaching method is as follows without the instrument: Awareness of the breath, placement of the mask (lips, tongue, palate, throat), body position. With the instrument: The air column, the position of the mouthpiece, the work and the position of the tongue. How to be enduring on the trumpet and get tired as little as possible. For the advanced: work on the treble, the brass section, precision, Cat Anderson's whisper g, the choice of mouthpieces, the piccolo trumpet. There are also balms to relax the facial muscles, flush out lactic acid, oxygenate the blood and reduce swelling. Subsequently or for the students who play correctly, we will work on the classic program of the technique with French and American methods, work of improvisation and decryption.

The same goes with music theory and composition; the classes are structured in a way that you wont feel overwhelmed with too much information because the goals and method will be set based on your level and needs. There are also studies showing that learning an instrument can aid communication skills, maturity and keep the brain functioning into older age. In my lessons I aim to teach instruments to anyone who is interested in exams, playing for fun or if they want to learn another skill for it’s mental benefits. I have a grade 8 in trumpet, singing and organ and i have experience playing in a variety of different ensembles and genres.
