My name is Miriam, I am a graduate in Master of Classical Music at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent and currently I am studying a Posgraduate in Musical Performance Practice. I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 10 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. In my lessons I focus on technical and postural questions, but we also reflect together on the music, as I like my students to develop their own musical ideas and not just imitate the teacher. Hello, my name is Silvia! I am an Italian student of Violin, currently attending the Postgraduate Musical Performance Practice at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent. I already have experience in teaching music and violin to children, teenagers and young adults. In those occasions, I discovered how much transmitting my love for music to other people - children, teenagers, adults, any age! - is one of my highest goals within my musical career. I am aware that each student deserves a personal teaching approach, shaped on his/her own nature and attitude. I will help students strengthen and consolidate their technical skills on the instrument, but we will also have a lot of fun in playing music! I myself studied at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent. Creating music is a great passion. The necessary experience to map out a suitable path is therefore certainly there. I teach at my home (Centrum Ghent). If it is more convenient for the lesson to take place at the student's home, this is certainly possible. The duration of the lesson is decided by the student.

Customized lessons: Teaching beginning children, beginning adults, or experienced students are completely different experiences that require completely different methods. A constant focus in all cases is to ensure that students learn notation and music reading, which gives them some independence. As a first step, I create a plan together with the student, depending on his or her personal goals, and supplement this with musical pieces that I think will complement the learning path. Practical information: I am available for online classes from August and at home from September 15, but I will not close schedules until the beginning of October. I am a pianist of more than 11 years of piano professional studies, in conservatorium Martin Tenllado, Spain. At the moment, I am preparing myself for the access exams of KASK in Gent. For over 1 year and a half I spent working with kids of all ages and i have expirience with music pedagogy and adapting the methods to the kid circustance and personality. I also give piano and music lessons for kids with no expirience with music. My native language is Spanish but I have a C1 level of english. Music theory is also really important for piano knowledge and I give customized excercises for the student. Learning a instrument, like piano, open your mind to a lot of perspectives, and for kids and teenagers, can help the development of their imagination, creativity and attention, and giving them the knoledge in a entertaining way, make the classes more interesting.

Hello everybody! I'm Maria, a graduate in flute performance at master's level. Besides loving to play my instrument, I have a passion for teaching music and flute. I have had experience with children who were starting studying music and flute, including those preparing for their entrance exam to an academy! I have also worked with more advanced students, deepening the improvement of their base and technique in playing the instrument to perfect it always with a very positive working environment! We can learn how to read notes and rythms also, and create a good playing technique with exercises to practice not only in class but also at home.
