Practice leads to perfection Unless you learned to speak French when you were a child, it is difficult when you don't speak it fluently to pass for a French speaker. However, this does not prevent you from learning to speak it correctly, because it is well known that a language spoken with a foreign accent is an asset of seduction! Although it may seem complicated, learning a new language is always fun and beneficial, so it is important to practice as much as possible and above all not to give up. Take every opportunity you are given to speak the language and listen to French as soon as possible. And remember: practice leads to perfection!

First of all, I am keen to get to know my students. The first lesson is always led by a time for discussion around the student's personal expectations and profile. In addition, it seems absolutely crucial to me to always provide solid methodological bases to all of my learners. This is why a detour via methods specific to French exercises is systematically made with students preparing for the maturity or the baccalaureate. Then, depending on the specific needs of the student, I adapt the session and it is often structured around two moments: on the one hand, I give a lecture on a concept, an author or a literary work, and on the other hand I lead practical exercises. Finally, digital documents can be sent to the student later, this is important so that they can keep a record of our work. Feel free to contact me for more information. An example of a course: mathematics - Primary level" Course objective: To help primary school students strengthen their mathematics skills and gain confidence in this area. Duration: 1 hour Course content : Review of Basic Concepts: Begin with a brief review of fundamental concepts. Practical exercises: Provide a series of practical exercises adapted to the student's level to apply the revised concepts. These exercises can include problem solving, interactive math games, and thinking challenges. Explanation of new concepts: Introduce new mathematical concepts according to the specific needs of the student. For example, addition and subtraction of multi-digit numbers, multiplication, division, decimal fractions, etc. Put into practice: Apply new concepts through concrete examples and additional exercises. Encourage the student to ask questions and express their difficulties for better understanding. Recap and Action Plan: Recap the points covered during the lesson and identify areas where the student may need additional support. Establish an action plan for future lessons to continue to strengthen the student's mathematical skills. This course is designed to be interactive, engaging and tailored to the specific needs of each student. The main goal is to provide a positive learning environment where the student feels comfortable asking questions and exploring mathematics at their own pace. I try to adapt my lessons as much as possible to the tastes of my students (Pokémon, Naruto, etc.) to make them want to learn.

The form of the lessons adapts to the specific requests, needs and problems of the student. It may include one or more of the following: - help with homework - proofreading/corrections of written work - revisions for exams, essays, courses - help with presentations, talks etc. - learning English through exercises and/or conversations I also generally help with: - organization of a work / review plan, with creation of a calendar, division of labor etc. - memorization: different techniques and advice - the methodology: how to be efficient in your work and in your reading, how to take good notes etc. - concentration and stress management - general advice My studies at university allow me to have access to rare and useful resources for learning English, which can enrich the courses. They also helped me to be more efficient in researching and citing useful sources for courses, dissertations, presentations etc. Lessons can be given at the student's home, in a municipal library, in a UNIGE building, or by webcam (for example via Jitsi, which is free, practical, and has always worked well with my students).

Currently a doctoral student in international development studies, I give private language lessons to children and adults in Geneva. Italian, a national language in Switzerland, and language of poets and artists. During this course we will try to learn Italian through lessons focused on the artistic and literary culture of the Peninsula. The project of the course will thus be that of practicing and learning Italian by grasping the cultural characteristics of the country. The course will be given only in Italian, which will allow students to fully immerse themselves in this linguistic universe.
