Cello, music theory and chamber music lessons

Currently a student at the HEM in Geneva, I offer cello lessons for all levels. Being passionate about music since my youngest age and pedagogy, I offer private lessons, but also support for your child. My pedagogy is based on the pleasure of playing as well as on fun methods that allow you to progress quickly. I also approach some notions of music theory and musical culture which allow to better understand the pieces and which allow to discover the world of music.

Dear parents, dear students, I offer cello lessons for children from 4 years old, for teenagers and for adults, whatever their level. With 10 years of experience in teaching cello, I adapt to the specific objectives of each student. One of my main educational objectives is to awaken and nourish the pleasure of playing music while ensuring structured learning. I taught cello for 6 years at the Geneva Conservatory of Music and 5 years at the Vincent-d'Indy Music School in Montreal and I am committed to creating a learning environment where pleasure and musical progression go hand in hand, whether you are a beginner or already have some practice. Teaching options: • At home • In my studio in Arzier, located next to the train station. Recommended timing by age: • Children 4-6 years: 30 minutes per week • Children 7-9 years old: 45 minutes per week • 10 years and older (adolescents and adults): 1 hour per week • Students preparing for auditions (pre-professional): 2 lessons per week Music theory and musical training will be included in the course. My name is Natalie and I am 21 - dynamic and ambitious teacher. The courses are combined with the development of a student's technical level, as well as its cultural enrichment. I would love to share the magic of music with anyone interested. The cello is an instrument with many possibilities. I have experience with students of all ages. I studied in the cello class of prof. Stefan Popov - 'Chavalier du Cello', who studied in the class of Mstislav Rostropovich - the world-renowned cellist of the 20th century. I graduated from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève - Bachelor of Arts. I am the founder and artistic director of Popov International Cello Festival. I am a very motivated person. I am ready to give you all my energy and patience! The cello competitions, which I did, inspired me a lot to start giving classes. I have experience with students of all ages.

I am a young experienced and enthusiastic cello teacher. In the past few years, I have been teaching in the UK at the Royal College of Music Junior Department in London, in primary schools, and privately. I am new to Geneva and I have just started my new teaching job at Ecolint, International School of Geneva. I teach children age 5-10, teenagers and adults. My teaching approach is to give the passion for music while building technical abilities and confidence. Discipline is important, and so is fun ! In the past, I have created cello ensembles for young children and I hope to be able to develop the same teaching outfit in Geneva as I had in London. I can teach in English or in French, the ABC system or the Do-Re-Mi system, and work towards various goals including ABRSM exams, concerts, etc. I am fluent in English as I was in London for over 10 years and French is my native language. Francisca, a passionate and dynamic cellist, has teaching experience and offers lessons for all ages and levels. It also covers some notions of music theory. Student at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and graduate of the Lyon Conservatory, I offer home lessons for all ages and all levels, in Geneva and its surroundings (TPG). I am a cellist, Portuguese, and passionate about music and teaching! I teach in French, Portuguese, Spanish, English and German. In my classes, the focus is on the student and their individual needs. I am currently teaching at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva within the MusicEnsemble project, which is inspired by "Sistema" in Venezuela, from which I myself am trained.
