Math Tutoring For High and Primary Schools' Pupils
I have 10 years unbroken experience teaching Maths and social sciences to high school students. Since greater proportion of the students population at the colleges are struggling in their performance in maths, I am passionate about teaching maths only for now so as to help as much maths students as possible. I make my first tutorial class free so as to develop rapport with a prospective maths student and to enable me identify the areas they need improvement in their performance. The first half of my tuition starts with the fundamental principles of mathematics, showing the students various clues and hints to use in answering maths questions. Special reference is made to acceptable standard marking scheme so the student can understand each topic better and develop more affection for solving mathematical problems. At the second half of my teaching, several examples are worked together with the student, ensuring that the student is fully engaged in the exercises, assimilating the concepts and contributing meaningfully. At the end of the second half of the tutorial, a lot of exercises are given to students as take-home assignments. The submitted assignments are reviewed, scored before the next appointment and corrections made one-to-one with the student next tutorial session. The topics covered are not limited to the core concentration like algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics to mention a few, they extend to elementary maths. If the gap in understanding a topic is much, elementary maths is revised with the student prior to teaching any of the core maths topics.

Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) National 5 Mathematics
Are you a student gearing up for your National 5 Mathematics exams? Do you want to ace your math skills and achieve the results you've always dreamed of? Look no further – my National 5 Maths Tutoring is here to guide you on an exciting journey to mathematical excellence! Prior to each session, we will have a topic chosen from the National 5 maths curriculum to focus on. I will begin by providing a concise overview of the topic's importance and relevance and I will explain key concepts, formulas, and rules related to the chosen topic. The session will mainly consist of interactive practice where I will present practice problems covering all aspects of the chosen topic. I will guide the student through solving problems step by step, emphasising key strategies, whilst also encouraging the student to actively participate and attempt solving problems independently. In the last quarter of the session, I will administer a brief quiz with a few questions related to the topic for the student to tackle independently. We will then review the quiz together, and I will provide immediate feedback on correct and incorrect answers. This is to gauge the student's understanding and identify areas for improvement we will focus on in the next session if needed. At the end of each session, I will assign a set of practice problems for the student to complete before the next session. I encourage all students to reach out if they encounter any challenges while working on the assignments! Not only will I help with their mathematical skill, but I will also share tips on effective exam strategies, such as time allocation for different sections and provide advice on staying calm and organised during the exam.
