English Literature and Essay Writing: Learn to Analyze and Express

In my class, you will be able to expand your analysis skills of English literature texts and improve your essay writing skills. We will start where you want to start, and go over texts that you are reading as well as some that I give you. I can also help you with planning, structuring, and creating essays. You will leave my class with much more confidence in how you dissect literature and craft your essays.

Extra information

Only your own laptop or computer is required, otherwise you don't need anything else. It is good to have literary texts you want to explore and work from school if you wish to go over that, but it is not required.

Nazlı
Turkish Language Lessons from a certified and 6+ years experienced teacher.
Hello dear all! Firstly, thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Nazlı. I am from Turkiye and I currently located in Istanbul. I am graduated from Arabic language teaching and also I am a native Turkish speaker and a certified Turkish language teacher for foreigners with more than 6 years experience. For me, teaching is not just a job but something I enjoy a lot that makes me smile, feel alive and keeps me improving constantly. As a student, I always loved diving into the sea of knowledge, experiencing new things, meeting new people and exploring new cultures. And I believe that teaching a foreign language gives both student and teacher all these beautiful experiences and also it is a great opportunity for improving both sides in knowledge and in personalities. As a curious social butterfly I am interested in any new information that includes new cultures, different practices and anything that touches a persons life and soul. Because every single new knowledge proves that we are sometimes different but a lot same. I believe that learning a new language is the most important bridge that connects different communities. My passion for teaching Turkish is also being a part of the bridge of unity and support my students in their learning journey in the best and most suitable way for their needs and aims. Already very nice to meet you all and can't wait to meet you in my lessons. :)

Afraid of the French bac? Oral gives you stage fright? Let's study together!
Presentation : Professor of National Education and examiner of the BAC, I know how to make French pleasant for students in difficulty who do not hang with the subject. Whether it is to explain how to make a dissertation pleasant to read, how to organize a composed commentary or read one's text clearly, distinctly and posed for an oral. French is not only a subject, French is difficult and requires effort, but these are rewarded! Method: My students have always made significant progress, going from an average of 5 per year to having an average of 14 in the French baccalaureate. My last one to send me his results went from 6 in writing and 9 in speaking to 15 in writing and 17 in speaking (EAF 2024 session). I have been preparing classes for these tests for years, I am up to date on methodology and programs. My services combine the experience of teaching French and the vivacity of a young teacher who succeeds in motivating the most recalcitrant students. My students have always made significant progress and above all, go to tests with confidence in their abilities. I adapt to your level and I give exercises to do for the next course (finish a comment, make an introductory essay ...). I am nice and enthusiastic but nevertheless serious: you will make satisfactory progress because you will work for 😉 2015-current Professor of Modern Letters in College / High School 2015-University Paris IV, The Sorbonne License of French as a Foreign Language 2014-University Paris IV, Sorbonne Master of Medieval Studies 2012-University Paris IV, The Sorbonne License of Modern Applied Letters 2010-Brevet of Aptitude to the Functions of Animator 2008-Baccalaureate series L 2006-First Aid Training Certificate

French and Literature courses for children/teenagers/adults
After a literary baccalaureate then a Bachelor's degree in Modern Literature and a Master's degree in Cinema and Media, I offer dynamic courses that are attentive to your needs in literary and, if necessary, artistic subjects. My lessons take place in good understanding and trust. I am not here to judge but to share and develop my student at his own pace. This is why I am very attentive to my student, first understanding his difficulties and/or shortcomings (spelling rules, conjugation and writing problems, problems understanding instructions, a text, etc.) then his apprehensions about the material in order to apply a simple method adapted to his personality. The first part of my lessons will be organized first of all around the shortcomings to be overcome by the student that I will have identified beforehand during the first meeting (explanation and adapted learning), then the second part will consist in putting into practice and in parallel this learning with the current program followed by the student by providing tools for analysis and understanding.

Elise
French private lessons by university graduate in Letters
Holder of a Master's degree in Letters and endowed with a solid experience in private lessons, I provide French lessons for students wishing to: - consolidate their bases in grammar, spelling - improve their language skills (allophone students) - improve their speaking skills (conversation classes) -profect the written expression - prepare for ECR exams - prepare for the written examinations at the end of the studies (maturity, certificate of completion) - help with the writing of works of maturity (or other works of end of studies), of dissertation - work on argumentative texts - acquire a method to analyze literary texts - learn how to perform bibliographic research The course material is a Google Docs document that I create in which my explanations, possible links, exercises appear. By reading it regularly, progress will be faster. It can also be used in addition to other documents (files printed by school teachers and/or books) and has many advantages: automatic updating, downloadable on tablets and smartphones, simultaneous monitoring of what is writing. For help with writing: The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The student will thus be able to learn to structure his ideas, argue coherently (and convincingly) and enrich his vocabulary. It is essential for me to have written work from the student between each lesson. For analyzes of oral literary texts: In order to optimize the time available (and to put ourselves in conditions closest to oral exams), we choose together an extract from a work that the student will have previously prepared before the lesson. This would take around 20 minutes at most, and ideally just a little before the meeting time. If necessary, I have the habit of taking a paragraph at random which would serve as a basis for analyzing a passage. For the corrections of end of studies work: so that the meeting with the student is at the most profitable, I ask him to send me his writings before the meeting. Apart from my presence with the student, any course involves a preparation time before and after the lesson, including the work that I correct. My goal is to design an individualized course, so I take the time to write detailed comments on corrected work or tips to ensure maximum success for everyone. For example, an editorial correction can easily be the subject of a detailed commentary of 4 typewritten pages. For adults (FLE): In order to optimally prepare the first ones, I take the initiative to inform myself in advance of their objectives / expectations. Whether to practice speaking in everyday life, the professional world or to practice oral presentations, I prepare either PPT or technical sheets in advance that I send by mail ( after booking on the website). The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling. Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.
