I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. Whether you want to learn to play your favourite tunes, learn to improvise or get some in depth knowledge about music theory and harmony we can work out a suited lesson plan for you. Happy to teach any level and any style from rock to jazz and electric or acoustic guitar. As every person learns differently, my approach always depends on the student and what you want to get from the music and the guitar. Music theory is very important for anyone looking to learn an instrument! It helps broaden an understanding of the instrument and will also help you progress faster! If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. I am also a professional freelance musician and conductor, for anyone interested in conducting, we can discuss how to approach a score in relation to this.

This class is designed for GCSE and A-Level music students eager to develop their composition skills in line with exam requirements. With a focus on originality and creativity, we will explore compositional techniques, musical structures, and stylistic understanding across a variety of genres. In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me! - To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing. - Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but for me we can go from baroque to blues, from blues to Haydn's sonatas, from Haydn to bebop and from bebop to Michael Jackson. Why not? Many people love the accordion and would like to learn how to play it. We can start from the beginning and learn many interesting things about the instrument, music theory, play beautiful songs in different styles of music. I teach button accordion. Graduated from the Music Academy, play the accordion more than 25 years. I love to teach and perform and I would be happy to share my experience with someone who is interested in accordion and music.

I teach vocal technique through body awareness. We’ll dive into the essential principles of singing: breath, resonance, and articulation. We’ll start with some breathing exercises to get warmed up, followed by vocal exercises to work on technique, and then you’ll get to sing a song of your choice.
