Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

This class is for whoever wants to dive in the world of artistic expressions. I can guide, help or teach throghout your thought process, planning and eventually the work itself. You dont need to have previous knowledge about painting or arts in general, this class can be for entry level and to advanced painters or artists. In this tailor-made Portfolio-preparation course, your child will build his/her own body of work, from research, idea development, and thinking processes, to the final piece of art which helps to prepare for interviews, university admission, or competitions. In the course, it is full of flexibility and creative processes, your child will develop his/her interpretation of chosen themes and unique personal styles.

I work traditionally in physical mediums such as watercolour, oil paint, acrylics, gouache, coloured pencil, charcoal and graphite. I graduated with a First Class BA Honours in Fine Art from Southampton University. I run workshops for groups locally, and work with therapeutic art techniques. I'm well-versed in grant writing, having achieved 3 successful grants to date and my work is featured in a number of publications. I have been fortunate enough to have works in private collections. My hours are flexible, and the range of mediums I work in is too. I have experience teaching, and am bilingual in English and Greek.
