Violin lessons for beginners for any age

Do you have a passion for music and want to explore it by playing the violin? Then you have come to the right place. Hello! My name is Cláudia, and I have been playing the violin since I was seven. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Classical Music, and I love to share my knowledge, experiences, and passion for the violin with my students. My goal is to explore the violin together with you and follow your aspirations with the instrument. Do you want to become a professional and play in an orchestra, or do you want to learn that song you listened to on the radio and can't stop thinking about it? Anything is possible! After completing my Bachelor's degree in violin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, I did a year of Erasmus at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, in Germany. From September, I will start my Master at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen. Discovering new ways of learning is very important to me. I like to seize opportunities and meet inspiring musicians during Masterclasses in Belgium and abroad. Perseverance and work, while respecting oneself, are for me the keys to long-term progress. Learning music with kindness is the most important thing for me. I adapt to the needs and desires of each student, so that the process is personalized and motivating. Being able to pass on my passion enriches me enormously and allows me to acquire new skills as a musician. I teach in French and English. I also have some German and I plan to learn Dutch this year.

I have been playing the violin for 13 years and am currently a classical violin student at Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen. My journey with the violin has taken me through various performances, masterclasses, and teaching experiences. I believe in a personalized approach to teaching, focusing on each student’s unique needs and goals. My violin lessons aim to inspire a love for music while developing technical skills.

The idea is to have the basic notions to be able to work a string organic. You will study how to write for each string instrument: violin, viola, cello and double bass. Also how to work together, whether for a trio, quartet or thinking about a larger organization like an orchestra.

I always adapt my classes to the age, level and particularities of each student, in order to develop their technical and artistic potential in the most efficient and enjoyable way. Hello everyone! My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

I am teaching all levels, all ages, all kind of stile on the violin or viola. Of course mostly classical, but if you wish we can also play folk, pop or other kind of songs. We can focus on playing, on musicality, technical skills, chamber music, as you wish. We could also do general music education, or basic practical musical skills and training the ears. I don't use one specific method since I feel every person function differently I i like to design something personal what works the best.

My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.

I study jazz violin at the Bruckner University and offer lessons for beginners as well as for improvisation enthusiasts. I studied composition before and therefore also offer composition and music theory lessons. It is very important to me to respond to individual wishes and goals and to create dynamic lessons in which the students feel comfortable.

In this violin course you will learn a foundation in learning one of the most rewarding instruments in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Grip the bow, hold the violin, have the perfect hand position and enjoy playing the strings while learning how to read the notes, the violin rhythm and technique. Students will generally learn better if they feel a connection developing with their teacher, whether that’s through humour, showing care about their development, or making sure teacher devote time equally to all students when in a group. I teach violin from beginner to diploma level, and piano from beginner to grade 8 level. Lessons are usually on a weekly basis. Students can work towards grading exams or performances, or, the can choose to learn pieces and studies that motivate them.
