I teach vocal technique through body awareness. We’ll dive into the essential principles of singing: breath, resonance, and articulation. We’ll start with some breathing exercises to get warmed up, followed by vocal exercises to work on technique, and then you’ll get to sing a song of your choice. We’ll also bust some common myths about singing, and you’ll be amazed at how much you can learn in such a short time! It’s going to be a lot of fun!

You will get proper training in music theory, vocal coaching and learn to play on the recorder all your favourite tunes. Also, you can ask for lessons on early music (IXth to XVIIIth centuries) theory: notation, treatises, ornamentation, improvisation.

My name is Inias. Since last year I have been teaching part-time art education (DKO) with great passion and I conduct the boys' choir Cantate Domino. In addition, I would like to offer music tutoring, with the aim of making music education more accessible to everyone. If applicable, lessons may also include techniques for audition, competition, and performance preparation as well as beginner piano, reading music, theory and ear training. For the first lesson, I always ask you bring something you like to sing and then as we progress we decide what repertoire makes the most sense. I start by explaining how the voice works: our body as our instrument. I then introduce individualized technique exercises to fit the student's need. Our work will include breath, resonance, vocal fold closure, vowels, range, and much more. My ultimate goal is to give you tools to build confidence in your practice and reach your personal goals in a fun and supportive environment! Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in operas, recitals, musicals, choirs, and competitions internationally including the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. I have a Master of Music in classical vocal performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan. I have studied dance, piano, and Alexander Technique in addition to vocal pedagogy. Hey, I am a professional opera singer and a highly educated vocal teacher currently working as a soloist at the Opera of Cologne in Germany.
