Concertist cellist graduated from the crr of Paris, the Queen's School of Music (Madrid, Spain) and the Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris Alfred Cortot, gives cello lessons all levels, from the youngest to the oldest, we will work on the posture of the hands, the relationship between our body, our breath, in relation to the instrument, the goal is to give different tools combining technique and music (melodic phrase) so that the student can progress by himself and enjoy to what he does, help him develop his own musical ideas, whether amateur or professional in the making.

Former viola da gamba student at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP) and in Literary classe préparatoire with a music option at the Lycée Fénelon in Paris, I offer viola da gamba lessons. I have been teaching viola at the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison (CRR) since 2019 and have been giving private lessons for many years. I teach both children and adults. My teaching method is particularly focused on working on the body, how to mobilize it in the most efficient and healthy way possible when playing, using some tools that I learned during my work in Alexandre Technique I teach at my place in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

We can study the cello repertoire and traditional techniques and we can also explore the cello in less traditional ways - improvising, writing music, using electronics and combining it with other instruments.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student I have, regardless of the subject to work on (musical language, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.) I always apply the Belgian teaching model, where I trained with my master's degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main thing is a living and practical teaching, taking understanding and not memory as the main learning engine.

Hi my name is Osian and I’m a cellist from South Wales. I’ve taught children of many ages and standards and I really feel privileged to be a part of someone’s musical and personal development. Music lessons can be a way of reaching the concert platform or it could be a way of expressing yourself and being creative, wether it’s a career path or not. I grew up playing and singing where my first priority was to fall in love with music and learn to perform it to the best standard that I could do and that’s what I’d like to encourage my students to aim for too. I’m a BMus Hons Scholar from The Royal Academy of Music and I’m not studying at a masters lever at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
