I am an experienced electronic music producer and enthusiastic teacher with students of different levels. I love sharing my knowledge and to inspire other producers and musicians. I like to focus on the individual skills and goals, and to make specific lesson plans based on each student needs (i.e. for beginners - have a full understanding of production techniques and software features / produce releasable tracks within 6 months; for advanced students - finding a signature sound, improving sound design and mixing skills) Because of my expertise and versatility, I can teach many different styles of music. As an artist, I mainly focus on producing techno, IDM and house but I have a broad understanding of contemporary music and current trends because of my strong background as a drummer.

I will teach you everything about Logic Pro X environment, working process, do's and dont's. We will run through all the technical staff in a fun way and learn the most effective ways to use plug-ins like eq, compressor, reverb. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. Logic Pro is a powerful but complex software tool that can be used to create everything from very basic recordings and compositions, to huge professional productions. You'll learn all the skills you need to set up and use Logic Pro; how to record and edit audio, use software instruments and plug-in effects, and how to mix and process your sounds. Lessons can either be conducted online, or at my studio, if you're local to Plymouth (it's not in a restaurant, I don't know why it says that!) I've been using Logic Pro for almost 25 years and have taught it at University level.

I've been teaching saxophone and flute for about 30 years. I studied in Paris and New York with some of the greatest saxophonists, including the great master Barry Harris. Over time, I've developed a pleasant and effective method. I also teach the Alexander Technique, a very effective tool for learning to play with minimal effort. I teach classes for all levels and styles, although I specialize in teaching jazz improvisation.

In piano lessons, we use the book method of Notus or Hal Leonard. Everything is explained step by step and you gradually learn to read music and know the piano. At the start of our lessons we'll take a look at what is important to you. What goals do you want to set, and what feels achievable and comfortable? We set long-term goals of, for example, a year.
