Lessons will be tailored on the student's needs and interests. During the first lesson I will assess your level just with a very informal chat and we'll set up together a functioning plan. During my classes I make use of various resources such as books, films, music, newspapers, providing an informal and enjoyable way of learning.

I have been teaching Italian for more than 30 years. I started in Milan, I then went to San Francisco and now here in London. My first lesson with you would be to assess your level and start speaking Italian by writing in the chat if we are on Skype or on your notebook if we meet face to face. I use also paintings to explore vocabulary and if you live here in London, we would meet at the National Gallery for example and explore the Italian language through what we see in the painting.

When I teach I like to use linguistics to find similarities between various languages and show the relevant links that make languages so rich and interconnected. Hello everyone! I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy. I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments. Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages. The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above). Hi, I'm Paola and I'm a graduate in Italian Literature and I also have a master's degree in Teaching Italian to Foreigners. During the university period I gave private lessons to erasmus students in Italy and now I give individual Italian lessons in Amsterdam and online. I use a book that I integrate with different materials. Conversation is very important, but so is listening and understanding a text. If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
