Camille
French teacher in Geneva, personalized support for guaranteed success and greater peace of mind.
First of all, I am keen to get to know my students. The first lesson is always led by a time for discussion around the student's personal expectations and profile. In addition, it seems absolutely crucial to me to always provide solid methodological bases to all of my learners. This is why a detour via methods specific to French exercises is systematically made with students preparing for the maturity or the baccalaureate. Then, depending on the specific needs of the student, I adapt the session and it is often structured around two moments: on the one hand, I give a lecture on a concept, an author or a literary work, and on the other hand I lead practical exercises. Finally, digital documents can be sent to the student later, this is important so that they can keep a record of our work. Feel free to contact me for more information. I travel to homes in the following municipalities: Geneva and its surrounding areas, Collonges-sous-Salève, Archamps, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Viry. The courses can also take place by videoconference, in which case there are no travel costs. See you soon. Best regards,

Christelle
Private lessons for children with academic difficulties
An example of a course: mathematics - Primary level" Course objective: To help primary school students strengthen their mathematics skills and gain confidence in this area. Duration: 1 hour Course content : Review of Basic Concepts: Begin with a brief review of fundamental concepts. Practical exercises: Provide a series of practical exercises adapted to the student's level to apply the revised concepts. These exercises can include problem solving, interactive math games, and thinking challenges. Explanation of new concepts: Introduce new mathematical concepts according to the specific needs of the student. For example, addition and subtraction of multi-digit numbers, multiplication, division, decimal fractions, etc. Put into practice: Apply new concepts through concrete examples and additional exercises. Encourage the student to ask questions and express their difficulties for better understanding. Recap and Action Plan: Recap the points covered during the lesson and identify areas where the student may need additional support. Establish an action plan for future lessons to continue to strengthen the student's mathematical skills. This course is designed to be interactive, engaging and tailored to the specific needs of each student. The main goal is to provide a positive learning environment where the student feels comfortable asking questions and exploring mathematics at their own pace. I try to adapt my lessons as much as possible to the tastes of my students (Pokémon, Naruto, etc.) to make them want to learn.

Étudiante en sciences propose des cours de sciences
Je peux utiliser différentes méthodes d’apprentissage en fonction de l’élève. L’idéal est que celui-ci m’envoie en avance le cours sur lequel il veut travailler pour que je me prépare et revoie certaines notions si nécessaire. J’adore explorer et reexpliquer si besoin, donc aucun stresse à avoir, on prend le temps qu’il faut pour que tout soit compris.

Private lessons in French, Philosophy, Latin, Ancient Greek
Hello, I am a student at the Lycée Henri IV (Paris, France) in literary preparatory class (first year, equivalent to a Bachelor 1 in French, Philosophy, History, Latin, Ancient Greek, English). I teach during the school holidays (June, July, August). Patient and dynamic, I listen to students and can support them in several ways: - methodology (dissertation, compound or linear commentary, version in ancient languages, oral and written) - help with homework - more precise courses based on both the cycle, college (Maturity, Switzerland) or Lycée (Baccalaureate, France) programs and the needs of the students (to work on well-targeted concepts, such as for example a work, an author, a genre, a literary movement etc). I would be delighted to be able to give lessons. See you soon !

Kevin
Non-academic Latin lessons. Multilingual teacher with 9 years of experience. Pronunciation, historical linguistics, conceptual semantics.
Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice. In the context of a first course, you can get a well-founded idea of my pedagogy. I look forward to meeting you.
