I tutor Mathematics at GCSE, A-level, BSc and MSc level. A bit about me and why I would love to be your tutor in mathematics! I am currently pursuing my PhD in Artificial Intelligence at University College London, where my research focuses on applying AI to enhance energy efficiency in the built environment. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from Warwick University. I also completed an MSc in Statistics and an MSc in Applied Biotechnology and Biosciences, both from Imperial College London, with Merit. My other academic achievements include A* A* A grades in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, and Biology A-Levels, along with 12 A* grades at GCSE in various subjects, including FSMQ Mathematics, and OCR Additional Mathematics. I also achieved a Merit in Advanced Extension Award Mathematics (AEA). In terms of tutoring, I have some experience tutoring GCSE Sciences and Mathematics, as well as A-level Biology and A-level Mathematics. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a Postgraduate teaching assistant at UCL. As part of this training, I actively teach several lectures and workshops each week in mathematics and computer science at MSc and BSc levels. Additionally, I offer career coaching for individuals seeking finance-related internships and preparing for interviews.

I'm Lucas, 21, currently a Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College of London! I obtained a bac S (mathematics option) with first class honors in 2017 before entering preparatory class in Physics. I continued my training by integrating the Centrale Lyon school two years ago before joining Imperial this year. I had many high school and preparatory class students during my two years in Lyon. By basing myself on the methods and the fundamental principles of the courses I helped 4 pupils to obtain their bac with honors. One of my students even went from an 8 average in physics in her first semester before getting 19 on the day of the bac. I operate based on the methods of the different chapters. Too often ignored by teachers, not always understood by students, many exercises are based on the same methods. Hello everyone, My name is Paul-Henry and I am currently a third year engineering student at Centrale Paris on a gap year internship in London. I offer support courses in math / physics for high school students and students in upper classes. After obtaining a bac S with mention TB, I did 3 years of preparatory classes and then joined Centrale Paris. I am convinced that the difficulties experienced by most students are due to a lack of confidence caused by a lack of methodology. And the essential point that I was able to retain from my academic experience is: rigor and method are the key words, in their absence the student will only feel powerless in the face of the exercises that he will have to solve. My methodology therefore consists in acquiring a fine understanding of the course before tackling exercises of increasing difficulty with an emphasis on the resolution process. This allows the student to mobilize his knowledge by demonstrating method and rigor.

I specialize in teaching maths at secondary school but have also worked as an LSA working with special needs children of all ages. Over the last year, I have tutored many students and helped them achieve their goals in mathematics but also supported them in revision skills for other subjects. My steps for success is identifying misconceptions and giving students confidence that they can improve their skills no matter where they are starting from. I do this by focusing on procedural and conceptual understanding but maintain a calm approach to encourage communication.
