Whether your child needs help with Spelling, English or Maths I’ve got you covered!! These sessions will be held for 1 hour in which your child will be able to ask me any questions during that time to further aid the specific area they’re struggling with academically & I’ll be more than happy to help. Please also note that I’ll also be running tests once a week to ensure your child is testing their knowledge whilst learning.

I am here to support children in their current studies of English or Maths at GCSE level or lower. I am happy to support these skills for younger children varying on their age range. I have experiance tutoring children in year 11, and older. I have also had experiance engaging with children with disabilities and tutoring them indevidually. Being Fluent in French I specialise in teaching French or helping students who are having difficulty learning French at school and may need some extra help. I am currently only available on weekends but from September I will be available also during the week and will be a lot more flexible.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
