I offer cello lessons and music training at home for all ages from 7 years old, beginner or not. As an indication, I like to work with the Feuillard method for teaching the cello, I of course adapt to the desires and objectives of each student. Currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, I hold a DEM* from the conservatory of Aubervilliers (France) and a degree in musicology from the University of Paris-Sorbonne. *Diploma of Musical Studies, formerly "conservatory prize"

This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist. I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In what consist my lessons? Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument. To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you. As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you! For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals! I am a pianist, composer and teacher, passionate about my profession, I aspire to transmit this knowledge and share this knowledge that I try to cultivate every day. I am punctual, organized and open-minded. I am interested in both classical music and so-called "popular" music. Piano teacher in several music schools for almost ten years, I like to use improvisation and games to overcome the problems encountered by my students. I am open to working on all repertoires, to introducing improvisation and the history of music in lessons as well as to musical writing. I work with children from the age of five because I trained in the sensory method (Peltier/ Navarra) as well as with adults. The Piano Master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels allows me to give my students a solid foundation but I am very open to discovering with my students the repertoire of their choice.

During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

My teaching experience has ranged from children or adults starting from zero with the instrument to students with a medium-professional level. I specialize in clarinet, although I also teach piano at beginners' level and theoretical subjects, from music theory to harmony, analysis and music history. My methodology is based on adapting to the student, following different teaching strategies appropriate to each level and age. From playful methodologies with younger children, to specific methods with older students. I believe that adapting to the situation is always more important than following a rigid methodology. Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try!
