    About Me

I received a bachelor’s degree University College London, a master’s degree at the London School of Economics and a PhD in international relations at London Metropolitan University.

I have taught at high school, undergraduate and post-graduate levels: in high schools and universities in the United States, as well as in universities in the United Kingdom and Hungary.

I have guided many students through their GCSE, IB and Oxbridge exams. I have also helped prepare students taking standardized tests such as the ISEE, SHSAT, ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT.

I have taught classes and tutored students in fields as diverse as history, political science, international relations, law, mathematics and English language.

I enjoy teaching, and his students have consistently recorded great improvements in their test scores following classes with him.

He has taught online as well as in-person, large classes as well as students one-on-one.

My favorite curriculum to teach is the IB, precisely because it emphasizes the interdisciplinary academic approach that he has always followed.

Among the IB subjects I teaches are Mathematics and Economics. I also teach Theory of Knowledge and guide students over the Extended Essay.

My approach to education is as follows:

“Education is a passion of mine. There is nothing more satisfying than the experience of imparting knowledge, wisdom or even a learning technique to another person. It is particularly pleasing when this transmission leads to an enormous improvement in the life of another. That a student has succeeded in passing a test and, as a result, has been admitted to a school or university or even business school or law school that he or she had only vaguely dreamed of is immensely gratifying.

“I enjoy inspiring students to learn more, to want to know more, to strive for more. Because my concern is exclusively an improvement in their lives, my students have always responded well to me. As a consequence, from the moment they begin studying with me their results and test scores start to improve dramatically. My teaching is always focused on the student's individual needs and his particular aptitudes. I devise my curriculum and teaching program around those, always keeping in mind that each student is different and what works with one student will not work with another.”

Mathematics Excellence: Private Tutoring Classes for Strengthening Skills and Embracing the Joy of Math
Greetings! I'm Jamal, based in the lovely city of Budapest, Hungary. I am deeply immersed in the captivating realm of mathematics as part of my academic journey. But beyond the formulas and theories, my true passion lies in making learning a delightful and accessible experience, mainly when it involves the fascinating world of mathematics. If I were to describe myself, "friendly" and "approachable" would be at the top of the list. My mission is simple but heartfelt – I'm here to assist others on their path to understanding and conquering mathematics. When it comes to teaching, my philosophy is all about tailoring the learning experience to the unique way each student thinks and learns. No two individuals are the same, and that's what makes teaching such an exciting adventure. By understanding the strengths and thought processes of each student, I help them discover their mathematical potential. One of my core beliefs is that math is for everyone. I'm trying to challenge the notion that some people are naturally better at math than others. It's all about fostering a positive learning environment and instilling confidence in my students. I want them to enjoy the journey of exploring and conquering math. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for any questions or to learn more about how I can assist you. I'm committed to providing a swift response, typically within a few minutes or by the same day/end of the day. Let's embark on this exciting mathematical adventure together, where learning is engaging, and math becomes a friend, not a foe!

Maths and English for high school/college students
I’m a maths and English as a foreign language tutor in Budapest whose goal is to share the excitement about the subjects I had the fortune of seeing from my own teachers. I have been teaching since September 2023. I had the opportunity to teach 5+ students simultaneously (in Hungarian and English) and help them pass AP College math courses, tests in school, go through their studies with remarkable grades and brush op on their language skills for the workplace. The most important thing to me is that the student has someone they can rely on. This means my focus is on answering questions to my best knowledge, describing things through different perspectives and making sure they don’t feel the pressure to learn something at an instant.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacher
I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.
