My name is Ignasi, and I can help you to improve your piano/music skills. With more than 4 years of experience teaching piano and solfege to children and adults, efficiency and perseverance are both very important in this amazing world of music. I graduated in Barcelona and now I’m getting my Master diploma at Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in Budapest. I can teach for all levels and ages of piano students. The methodology is flexible and personalised to your necessities, interests and possibilities. You can focus on classical pieces but it is also possible to learn jazz or modern music. Hello :) I am so excited that you are interested in music and especially that you are looking to start learning how to play the piano! I am offering private piano lessons, to any age or level. I teach children, starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications, e.g. ABRSM music exams, amateurs or simply people who want to learn how to play and enjoy music, of any age. I always start by teaching and explaining the importance of the hand's position, the importance of the arms and the use of the whole body while playing the piano. During the lessons, we will be working on piano technique (giving great importance to the p movement of the finger and the use of the weight on the keys), the understanding of the musical language, the expression of the personality through the music. My way of teaching, adjusts to the age, the character and the personality of the student. I am always using a lot of examples in order to make my point and especially in young ages, the most of the lesson's activities, have the sense of a game for the children.

I have a musical degree in Jazz Composition and have been playing multiple instruments for 10 years. I offer lessons in music theory with a strong emphasis on improvisation. The instrument used for the classes would be a keyboard but the learnings can be applied to any instrument you already play. I can help with critical listening, ear training, solo building and many other practical skills. Any theoretical concept is taught based on the needs of the student and to serve the purpose of their own way of self expression. I also offer Ableton Live tutoring for whom is interested in musical production and composing.

Through my courses I will teach all levels of piano playing. My approach will consist of forming an individual repertoire according to each student's needs. In case that students want to integrate piano lessons with composing, that is also something I would strongly encourage, since piano is the most frequently used instrument for composing music.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
