I offer cello lessons and music training at home for all ages from 7 years old, beginner or not. As an indication, I like to work with the Feuillard method for teaching the cello, I of course adapt to the desires and objectives of each student. This is what I offer you through my course: tune the instrument, work on your first chords and quickly play your first songs; read tablature, discover and master scales and modes to combine them with playing expressions such as hammer-ons, pull-offs, legato; develop your musical ear by exploring the depth of certain styles such as pop, rock, blues, jazz, bossa nova, funk just to name a few. All this will no longer have any secrets for you! Whether you have no experience or a few weeks of practice at hand, we will go step by step, taking into account your level, so that you evolve at your own pace and consistently. I am a Vietnamese pianist and I would love to share nice music with you in a friendly environment. I have finished my Master's in piano specialization at the Royal Conservatory of Liège and piano accompaniment at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Giving concerts, making some recordings, working in both classical and contemporary music, and with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, I would be happy to share all my knowledge and enjoy the music together!

Ryan is an American-born British violinist currently based in Brussels. He is a charismatic performer with a particular interest in bringing together modern performance technique with historical performance practice. Ryan has been invited all over Europe, the United States, and Canada to present recitals and attend masterclasses. Most recently, a Banff Centre quartet residency where Ryan received the Banff Center Award, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the XXII edition of the Encuentro de Música y Academia de Santander as a student of Zakhar Bron. Ryan has also recently appeared as a soloist and in recitals in halls such as Benaroya Hall, Flagey, Harris Concert Hall, and the Grand Salle of the Brussels Conservatoire. Ryan is an avid lover of chamber music. He performs duo repertoire regularly with pianist Ksenija Tmusic and was previously a member of Trio Monoceros and the Primrose Quartet. Currently a pupil of Professor Yuzuko Horigome at the Conservatorium Maastricht, Ryan previously graduated with first-class honours from the Royal Academy of Music studying with Professor Joshua Fisher. Other significant mentors have included Kyung Sun Lee, Dong Suk Kang, Viktoria Mullova, and others.

This course is also perfect for an academy or conservatory student who wishes to prepare for the music theory exam. Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself. On the program (student's choice) - Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.) - Note readings in one or more keys - Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work - Encryption and recognition of agreements, - Transposition. This musical theory lesson suits to every level, from the one who wants to learn how to read music to the one who wants to know more about chords, transposition or polyrythms. This lesson is also perfect for a student who wants to prepare an examination. In despite the fact I called these lesson "Musical theory", it is firstly about understanding the music. And that can only be possible by ... doing music. So be aware that we will be singing, playing chords, clapping rhythms, ... My purpose is that the student understand by himself first, then the theory will come naturally. What we can do during a lesson (student can choose): - Ear training (Learn to catch a melody of one or several voices and write it down by ear, recognizing chords, recognizing rhythms, ...) - Rythmical work: learn to clap different rhythms in different time signatures. Also included polyrythms. - Key reading, in one or several keys. - Transposition (learn how to read a flute sheet while you're playing trumpet, ..)
