I am a cello teacher, musical awakening and music theory. My classes are for people of all ages. From toddlers to adults. I graduated with two bachelor's degrees from the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid and the Koninklijke Conservatorium Brussels. I graduated from the Master's degree at the Koninklijke Conservatorium Brussels with Olsi Leka, principal cellist of the Belgian National Orchestra. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. Hello! My name is Marcos, I am a clarinetist and I live in Brussels. I offer private lessons in person (they can be at your place or mine) or online. I have experience as a teacher for the last few years with children, adults, individual and group classes. Professional or amateur level. In my lessons, I help students find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of auditory skills, a sense of rhythm and optimal use of the body, allowing them to connect with their musical imagination. I am a Vietnamese pianist and I would love to share nice music with you in a friendly environment. I have finished my Master's in piano specialization at the Royal Conservatory of Liège and piano accompaniment at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. This course is also perfect for an academy or conservatory student who wishes to prepare for the music theory exam. Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself. On the program (student's choice) - Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.) - Note readings in one or more keys - Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work - Encryption and recognition of agreements, - Transposition. This musical theory lesson suits to every level, from the one who wants to learn how to read music to the one who wants to know more about chords, transposition or polyrythms. This lesson is also perfect for a student who wants to prepare an examination. In despite the fact I called these lesson "Musical theory", it is firstly about understanding the music. And that can only be possible by ... doing music. So be aware that we will be singing, playing chords, clapping rhythms, ... My purpose is that the student understand by himself first, then the theory will come naturally. During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

Hello to everyone! My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist. All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist. I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In what consist my lessons? Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument. To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you. As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you! For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals! Classes can be in person at your house or mine (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher. Lessons in piano, historical and modern cello, and harpsichord, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history. In my teaching, I try to teach the students how to teach themselves, because the best teacher for you is yourself. Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege and history of music, if the student wishes. For my private students, I organize concerts 1-2 per year. Fluent in English and Russian and Bulgarian, intermediate in Nederlands und Deutsch. I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, and probably more than 100 students. I am a graduate of Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, in baroque cello and harpsichord, but I play also modern cello and piano.
