I was principal flute at the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw (Poland) and have over 45 years of experience teaching repertoire, solo, chamber music and orchestra. Over the years I have developed my method of Conscious Flute Playing, which has allowed me and my students to make the flute sing as we wish. Thanks to this we can learn music theory passively as we go through the pieces. There is also the opportunity to participate in student concerts in Brussels twice a year (December and June). Intensive courses before entering the conservatory, competitions etc. also available on request!

The half-hour lessons will be held at my home. I graduated with a degree in musicology and piano performance in Paris. I'm a portuguese violinist and I'm doing my Master at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels. In Portugal I started also a Master in Education and I have a lot of experience teaching because I used to do it in Portugal. I had students from 3 to 25 years old, so I'm prepared for any level! This class is for beginners who love the violin and want to learn more about it and how to play it, or for advanced students that need some help to develop their technique. Don't worry if you don't know anything about music, I can also teach the theory in a very easy way.

I offer musical awakening lessons in groups or alone. I am used to working with young children and my discovery activities start from 1 year old. Having been professionally trained, I acquired several educational and fun techniques to learn while having fun. Parents can participate in the early learning course, which will strengthen the bond and sharing with the child.

With all of the information available in books, magazines and online it is very hard to sort through everything and know what is the best place to start. With nobody around to walk you through the process, you spend a lot of time going in circles, making no progress at all. That definitely doesn’t make learning to play guitar very fun. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

If you're just learning music now and it feels like there's a lot to understand, don't worry we're gonna start from the basics. I will help you understand music and its elements. With your dedication and my guidance, I'm positive that we will get a good result!

I love teaching music to people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of their musical preferences. As a passionate violinist, I enjoy guiding students from beginners to advanced levels, helping them grow both technically and artistically. My students have achieved great success in music competitions and exams, and they always perform beautifully in concerts. In our violin lessons, we start with foundational elements like scales, progressing through repertoire suited to each student’s skill level. I also incorporate specialized techniques, such as the Tune Day Method, to enhance their playing. Above all, I want my students to enjoy the music they play, so I encourage them to choose pieces they love.

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
