Hello All ! My name is Mario. I am a pianist, composer, producer based in Bruxelles . I have a long experience as a Jazz pianist, keyboardist and arranger and I played in a lot of different bands . In the last ten years I spent a lot of time producing electronic music and I developed my solo and other projects as a mix of jazz, electronic and neoclassical music. I have a master degree in Live Electronics took a the Antwerp Conservatory. I decided to create this course where we can explore together the basics of music production using Ableton Live suite as a reference software. Hi! I am a Spanish composer and guitarist, graduated with a Master's degree in composition at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. My main instrument and style is classical guitar, but I have also played electric guitar and piano for over ten years. I am a composer and music producer, using various software such as Ableton Live and Sibelius, as well as various hardware such as synths, pedals and other components. I offer music composition and production courses, as well as various aspects related to music production. I can adapt to all levels, whether beginner or to deepen and improve your knowledge. MY MUSICAL PAST: After many trips abroad, training in jazz piano (Antwerp) and in "electronic music production" at the SAE (Brussels), I released my first EP in November 2017 entitled "Into The Star" which then allowed me to play on several Belgian stages including the Botanique last March. METHODOLOGY: The objective of the training is that you are able to RELEASE A PROJECT ALONE (composition - arrangement - mix - mastering - diffusion) My method is characterized by a journey between two poles: objectivity and subjectivity. Objectivity: Giving through the sharing of my in-depth knowledge of the subject as well as an interesting perspective, allowing me to see the music industry as a whole. Subjectivity: Giving through the sharing of my artistic experiences and views on music and the elements that produce it. The desire to have students for several weeks allows me to know enough about them to advise them best in the paths they undertake. I studied music production at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) under the mentorship of King James Britt, and at Abbey Road in London. I am well versed in most audio software (Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X), using all of these in a professional setting for over 5 years. Currently, I work as an audio engineer, mixing and mastering songs for clients as well as recording in major studios across the city, as well as working remotely for the studio that I started in Oxford (Lenka's Studios). I would love to help you reach your specific goals in Audio production and pass on my knowledge. Students can bring their works in Progress for feedback and to be worked on, or they can ask in advance to learn more about a specific area of audio production (For example, recording techniques for drums or piano, mixing techniques for live recordings or for electronic music). I have many years of experience in writing songs electronically, and for live instruments, for artists in the UK and the USA. In these private lessons I will cover a broad range of topics that you'd like to learn about using Ableton Live! With over a decade in teaching experience across a broad range of topics, I'm prepared to customize lessons to make sure you get the most out of your time. To do this, we'll spend about 5-10 minutes just going through your own music background and experience (don't worry, this won't count towards lesson time) so I can get a sense of how best to progress your skills. Topics may include: beat-making, melody/harmony writing, arrangement, workflow tips, sound design, mixing and mastering, recording, live performance, sampling, and pretty much anything else you can think of to get your sounds off the ground.
