My favorite repertoire is jazz, bossa, funk, but I also like to offer pieces from classical and pop, accompanying you on the piano to get you used to playing in a group. All levels and all ages welcome.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try! I obtained my Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Simon Diricq. There I built up a broad expertise in (contemporary) classical, but I am also not unfamiliar with popular music. I now have five years of teaching experience. All types of saxophone are possible: soprano, alto, tenor, baritone. In these lessons we will look together for the way of playing that suits you best, so that you can get the most out of it. Currently studying at the Koninklijke Conservatorium in Brussels. I graduated with a DEM jazz from the conservatory of Chalon-sur-Saône, and a BEM in classical saxophone from Dijon. I used to give courses in structure and particular, I taught 5 years the saxophone to students of all levels and all ages (from 5 to 71 years old) at the school of music and harmonic orchestra of Dijon, I also taught musical training at the conservatory of Beaune.
