Hello :) My method of teaching always relies first on connecting to the emotions and sensations in the body of the moment - here and now! I tackle all aspects of vocal technique, from the very production of sound to questions of interpretation, including breathing, jaw, tongue, posture, resonance, etc. Then come the vocalizations, phrasing, interpretation, and connection with the sound and belly ... and the real emotions, we will be working only on a repertoire that gives you genuine and authentic pleasure :) Finding genuine joy and inspiration in singing is one of the most important qualities that will allow your body to follow naturally in a liberated way! I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
