I love teaching music to people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of their musical preferences. As a passionate violinist, I enjoy guiding students from beginners to advanced levels, helping them grow both technically and artistically. My students have achieved great success in music competitions and exams, and they always perform beautifully in concerts. In our violin lessons, we start with foundational elements like scales, progressing through repertoire suited to each student’s skill level. I also incorporate specialized techniques, such as the Tune Day Method, to enhance their playing. Above all, I want my students to enjoy the music they play, so I encourage them to choose pieces they love.

Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

I take all students from beginner to experienced musicians (who often need coaching in deportment and/or bowing technique) and encourage proper traditional Irish style. I teach aurally and written music using enough music theory to pass Irish state examinations in either TTCT (traditional) all levels, or up to RICM (classical) to level 4. While keeping lessons lighthearted and fun the idea is to quickly build up a repertoire of tunes that allow the learner to 'sit-in' on sessions as quickly as possible while also learning how to learn so one can pick up tunes easily. I myself have 7 All Ireland medals stretching from 1971 to 2001.

I offer to accompany you in what you wish to practice: - Discovering the instrument with exercises and warm-ups, right hand techniques (plectrum or mediator) and left hand. I pay particular attention to gesture and posture, to relaxation for comfortable playing and quality sound. - We can of course learn pieces that you choose, or pieces that I suggest, with or without sheet music. - I can help develop improvisation if that's something you're interested in. - Theory in relation to practice, tones, modes, intervals, harmony... - And others according to demand. My classes are aimed at beginners as well as more advanced students who want to enrich their palette of expressiveness and musicality.
