TYPICAL COURSE PROGRESS: * Body preparation time: stretching the phonatory muscles, awakening the resonators and working on the “wind tunnel”. * Vocal preparation time: putting into voice and vocalizing. * We sing! Work on one or two pieces, or texts prepared in advance: technique applied to the tune or text, and interpretation. * Time for transcribing exercises and recommendations.

I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years. The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing! During the first part of the lesson, we will focus on Technique and breathing, while during the second part of the lesson we will focus on the repertoire chosen together with the student, applying the aspect of the technique that we worked on previously in the lesson.

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. **Class suggestions and indications** No experience is needed just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. Classes can be given either in English, Spanish, French or Deutsch. There are no limit for styles, bring your favorite music and I will provide a safe environment for your personal and musical growth. I'm a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London with many years experience as a professional soprano. I've sung with the Madrid Royal opera chorus and the Radio television in Spain and am an established International soloist in Baroque, opera and Contemporary music. I love to share my passion for singing and to help singers achieve a relaxed and secure technique. I like to work on different styles so the full range of colours and sounds can be explored. Each persons sessions will be tailored to the student, going on your ability and what you would like as an outcome of your lessons. some subjects we will go Through are topics such as: warm ups to protect the voice, Voice Technique, Performance - developing your own personal style of singing and as a performer through learning songs of your choice. Additionally to these topics, we can do subjects based around music theory, Learning to read music and Music History. the main thing of course, is to have fun learning and performing! Alternatively, If you are already Studying Music and/or Singing and want help with revision or Practice, I am Happy to accommodate for this also. I have my Grade 8 in Singing, as well as having been trained in Music at degree level in multiple genres of vocal performance and additionally with 25 years of experience in performing arts. I am more than happy to accommodate multiple Genres, and again, all learning is at the students pace. I am available to teach from Saturday 29th March 2025. SINGING and/or PIANO teaching in person and also at a distance Singing Classes (Breathing, voice emission, voice placement, loudness, choice of repertoire, interpretation, staging of each song to be performed) and regarding Piano classes (Theory, traditional reading, classic and/or popular works, technical exercises, scales, chords, harmony, American cipher, Interpretation) and in both cases relaxation, sensitivity when playing and singing, expression. You can take one hour of each discipline separately or take the course of one hour and a half in duration where both disciplines are taught within the same class

Singing is the key to a lot of things in your body, not only physical, but also mental and emotional. In vocal lessons we will work on power of your voice, will learn how to understand and track internal processes in your body, thanks to which you will not only improve your voice, but also will be more confident and relaxed. I prefer to give my students full freedom in the choose of the songs, with which we will work, but also I will correct and can give you another few options that will be better and more effective for you.
