I'll be teaching you the subjects I can see you have most difficulty with - be it figure drawing, perspective, concept art or even going back to fundamentals as a reminder. I do both traditional and digital art, so I can also teach you how to move from one media to another without fear! Before our first lesson, I like to have a free, quick 15-min 1:1 to get to know you first - to help me know you better, talk more about your goals and see some of your work (if any). It's mostly a casual chat to get to know you better and introduce myself and it rarely lasts a full hour. This helps me not only when preparing personalized art lessons for you, whatever your focus may be, but also when figuring out what works best for you in terms of learning, such as: - Do you have time for homework? - Do you prefer a more objective explanation as opposed to a more detailed one? - Do you prefer learning all the theory first and then practicing later all at once, or to take it in small chunks? - How experienced are you in art? - Do you prefer a more casual class or one that challenges you every time? This class supports students who wish to enter the world of drawing or improve their drawing practice in the classical tradition. Students will learn to take a slow, thoughtful, methodical approach to observing light and form and depicting it on a surface using principles of shape, proportion and tone, and a balance of optical and conceptual knowledge. I have a bachelor's degree in digital arts, obtained at Saint Luc in 2016. During my studies I made live models, had courses in color, 2D animation, perspectives and character design. I mainly draw with a graphics tablet.
