Trusted teacher: I have been teaching students of all ages and abilities for the past ten years. I began my teaching practice while pursuing a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, inheriting students from my father (also a violin teacher) and later teaching the younger students of my violin professor. Following my studies in Ireland, I moved to the United Kingdom, where I obtained a Master of Music Performance from the Royal College of Music, London and an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, both with distinction. During my studies, I taught extensively across the London and Birmingham areas, both in person and online, taking one to one lessons and group ensembles. In my teaching, I follow the ABRSM grade system alongside a vast selection of relevant study books and pieces/sonati/concerti, individually tailored to the needs and requirements of each student, allowing an enjoyable, rewarding and worthwhile musical experience. As I work full time with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, teaching spaces are limited and a certain level of flexibility in scheduling may be required at times due to the changing nature of the orchestra's weekly timetable and touring schedule. Trusted teacher: I run my lessons in 4 steps. Step 1 (content knowledge): I get to know how much the student already knows about the topic. Depending on their level of understanding I will go over crucial subject content and make sure to cover any knowledge gaps. Step 2: I go over practice questions with the student and give them tips on how to tackle the questions and how to answer effectively in order to obtain full marks. Step 3: I give students past paper questions to independently try them. I then mark them and go over any questions they got wrong. I then give them more questions that are similar to the questions they got wrong. Step 4: I quiz the students to make sure there’s no knowledge gap in the specific topic before moving on to a next topic. My aim is to teach students just like the way I like to be taught. Making sure the environment is friendly so that the students can freely ask questions without being intimidated. I am very passionate about making sure that my teaching helps as many students as possible so that they can achieve the top grades. I have previously taught 11+ students in a private tuition. Although I don’t have a broad work experience in teaching but being the eldest daughter I have always taught my younger siblings who both go to a grammar school. I have always helped my friends and classmates in school as well. I have always been a top achiever. I am also a medical applicant with a medical school offer.
