My name is Gianni, I'm a professional musician, currently living in Basel and doing my master's degree in double bass at the Musik Akademie Basel. I've been playing and studying music since I was 7 years old; I started with classical guitar, then electric guitar and electric bass, then I started double bass and lately I'm learning saxophone. I would say my main instruments are guitar and bass and I have been teaching these for 5 years to students of different levels and different aspirations. For me it is very important to understand what the student wants and needs to guide him on the best path; I also try to always make the classes a fun learning environment. Cello lessons should arouse joy and curiosity. My students will explore their instrument in their own way and find their own sound. It doesn't matter whether it's classical, new music, pop/jazz or improvisations, because it's about making music. Since I have a very broad background - I studied classical education, now I'm studying new music, I play in a band and a string quartet and improvise regularly - I'm very happy to pass on my knowledge and experience. The lessons will be very individualized because I respond to the students' wishes and ideas. Group lessons for up to three people are also possible.
