Chinese is my mother tongue. I taught Chinese during my master's studies in Switzerland. I work part-time as a Chinese-French and Chinese-English translator in a traditional Chinese medicine practice. I have developed a study plan tailored to each student's language level. For the different levels, I prepare a short interesting text for each lesson, then help the student engage in an open conversation, with a Chinese writing assignment and recitation at the end of the lesson. Of course, for students starting from scratch, I will focus on pronunciation in the first month, as it plays a crucial role in motivating them to speak. This will be accompanied by examples, scenarios, and short texts. After learning English, French and German, I discovered dynamic methods to learn a new language. I also helped my husband to start learning Chinese, which allowed me to design Chinese courses in an effective and interesting way.
