Playing the flute is much more than just making music. You'll learn to breathe properly, learn something with a positive mindset, and maybe you'll also find out the quickest and easiest way to learn. The flute is a wonderful instrument because you can use it to describe birdsong, wind, sadness, even the sunrise and elicit beautiful melodies from it. To make it easy for you, I will introduce you to breathing tricks and interesting tone exercises. I think it's important that we also play a duet or that I accompany you on the piano so that you can get a taste of chamber music, intonation and dynamics. We can also choose pieces of music according to your taste and if you are interested I will also introduce you to music theory and music history.

With my bachelor's and master's degrees as well as my bachelor's degree in musical education from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and years of experience playing the flute, I am well prepared to pass on my passion for music to anyone who wants to learn to play the flute. Over the last ten years, I have taught students of all ages - from children to teenagers and adults - to play the flute, recorder, alto flute and piccolo. I have developed a flexible and individually adapted teaching concept that responds to the needs of each individual - be it for fun, to prepare for competitions or to prepare specifically for entrance exams. I look forward to discovering the joy of music together with you!

Together we will explore the flute instrument in more detail and set out to achieve your wish or goal - be it learning a song by Billie Eilish, playing her favorite piece at grandma's birthday party, working on your technique and your fingers to train them so that they can play very fast passages, to discover new music with me in class and have fun, or, or, or! Beginners as well as advanced or returnees of all ages are welcome. I myself come from Aargau, but live and study in Bern at the University of the Arts. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in education. In addition to great chamber music and improvisation projects, I play and organize in the Bern student orchestra. I also have many years of experience with wind orchestras and enjoy leading register rehearsals. In addition to music, I really enjoy being in nature, for example in the mountains or the refreshing Aare. I also enjoy reading and am interested in psychological topics. I look forward to making music with you!

Learn to play the flute! First, we will focus on the sound production, the position of the mouthpiece and your posture. Then we will deal with playful pieces, we can play in duet and play melodies that you like. Playing the flute will help you develop your memory, hearing and breathing skills.

As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 13 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and WaterBear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

My name is Nikolai and I am a professional flautist. I have been in this wonderful field for 14 years and am always moving forward. I come from Saint Petersburg, where I graduated from the classical lyceum "Kikin Hall" and the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. I have been in Switzerland for three years and during this time I have completed Bachler classical music at the University of the Arts and am now enrolled in the Master Pedagogue at the HKB. I have been teaching transverse flute at the Schmitten and Niederscherli music school for 2 years and I have been teaching privately for 5 years. My course is extremely flexible - we can work with songs and songs you love, as well as the most difficult etudes and large repertoire pieces. But what always remains is a good mood, a friendly atmosphere, professional methods (correct position of the instrument, correct breathing and easy technique) and joy in music!

Hello, I am a master student at HKB and I specialize in tutoring flute and a recorder. My goal is to keep you challenged and interested, but not overwhelmed. You will learn a variety of music styles throughout the flute. I welcome english speakers of all ages and levels :)

Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

I recently completed my studies in transverse flute at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice. I will move to Graz for a further master's degree and am available for lessons in music theory and practice. Being very sociable and positive, it comes naturally to me to convey the passion that music can express. I am available for lessons for children and young people of all ages.

My name is Texenén, I am a flute/piccolo player living in Maastricht with more than 15 years of teaching experience. If you want to learn how to play this amazing instrument; if you already know but would love to take it out of the storage room and enjoy it again; if you need help to study the pieces you have to play in your wind band; or if you want to prepare exams, competitions or auditions I am here to help you to reach your goals. I have taught in music academies, masterclasses, and private lessons, from beginners to advanced students. I will work to help my students to improve their skills and keep them motivated. I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.
