I think it's important for children that flute lessons are also music education. For beginners, we get to know the breathing technique through creative games, the "blow competition" with crumpled paper balls is particularly popular. We learn the rhythms with claps and rhymes, but I often explain the bar structure by assembling Lego blocks. I show musicality and technique accompanied by songs, improvisation, playing the flute or piano together. You don't even notice, you're so good at it that you can give your family your own concert. And if you already play the flute, bring your favorite pieces, even pop songs, to class! If you're playing with a band, I'll give you ideas and tips. If you already know all the tones, I'll even show you new techniques like whistling or drumming on the flute. There is always something new and surprising on this instrument! Hallo, mein Name ist Pia und ich bin Flötistin :) Ich habe mit 8 Jahren angefangen, Flöte zu lernen, es hat mir sofort gefallen und so habe ich nach der Musikschule mein Studium am Konservatorium in Maribor (Slowenien) fortgesetzt, danach habe ich an der Kunst Universität Graz studiert und 2024 habe ich meinen Bachelor an der Gustav Mahler Privatuniversität in Klagenfurt abgeschlossen. Dort habe ich einen Abschluss in Konzertfach und einen Abschluss in Instrumentalpädagogik gemacht. Während meines Studiums absolvierte ich auch einen Spezialisierungskurs in Alter Musik mit dem Hauptfach Traversflöte. Daher biete ich auch Unterricht für Anfänger auf diesem schönen Barockinstrument an. Während meines Studiums hatte ich einige Privatschüler, mit denen ich die Klänge der Flöte und verschiedene Genres (Klassik, Pop, Jazz, Volksmusik, Improvisation usw.) erkundet habe. Mein Unterricht ist entspannt und kommunikativ, voll von gemeinsamem Musizieren. Der Unterricht kann auch online stattfinden. Anfänger sind ebenso willkommen wie diejenigen, die ihre Kenntnisse vertiefen oder nach einiger Zeit wieder mit dem Flötenspiel beginnen möchten! :)

Together we will explore the flute instrument in more detail and set out to achieve your wish or goal - be it learning a song by Billie Eilish, playing her favorite piece at grandma's birthday party, working on your technique and your fingers to train them so that they can play very fast passages, to discover new music with me in class and have fun, or, or, or! Beginners as well as advanced or returnees of all ages are welcome. I myself come from Aargau, but live and study in Bern at the University of the Arts. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in education. In addition to great chamber music and improvisation projects, I play and organize in the Bern student orchestra. I also have many years of experience with wind orchestras and enjoy leading register rehearsals. In addition to music, I really enjoy being in nature, for example in the mountains or the refreshing Aare. I also enjoy reading and am interested in psychological topics. What is this - Suzuki method? The Suzuki Method is suitable not only for children but also for adults as it provides an excellent technical foundation for playing your favorite songs! If you have been dreaming of playing the flute for a long time, I am here to help you. Talent is not inherited. It is a product of energy and patience. Children grow up in a rich and diverse environment, accepting the world around them spontaneously and intuitively. They grow up in an atmosphere of joy and positivity. Parents believe unconditionally in their children, their success, their luck, their talent. They learn eagerly through repetition by imitating their favorite people. Language and music are perceived through hearing. There is a sensitive period in childhood when a child learns to speak naturally. The sensitive phases are important. That's why we have to bring music into a child's life as early as possible (Maria Montessori also talks about "sensitive phases"). The child learns and improves at their own individual pace. A successful task is an incentive for new achievements. We can learn and master anything we want. All it takes is patience, perseverance and time. The surrounding world is a living source of sensitivity and receptivity. Man is a child of his environment. Constant repetition, listening to the repertoire, learning to play by heart is a natural way to learn an instrument, just like the native language. Parents have a great responsibility as home teachers, not just attending classes and helping with practice at home. Your job is to be dedicated to the continued teaching of the Suzuki approach, creating a musical environment, learning the basics of playing and caring for the instrument, and creating a general atmosphere of affection, support and understanding. The most important component for success is the willingness of parents to regularly take time to work closely with the child and the teacher. The Suzuki method is a teacher-mentor who walks the path with the child, who does not dominate, but shows his knowledge and authority, and for the mother, this inner authority helps create a harmonious union of the three - teacher - parent - child - to create the so-called Suzuki triangle (triangle). The interaction of the three can maintain the child's interest. I am ready to lead you and your children into the wonderful world of music.

Trial lessons are free!!! My name is Nikolai and I am a professional flautist. I have been in this wonderful field for 14 years and am always moving forward. I come from Saint Petersburg, where I graduated from the classical lyceum "Kikin Hall" and the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. I have been in Switzerland for three years and during this time I have completed Bachler classical music at the University of the Arts and am now enrolled in the Master Pedagogue at the HKB. I have been teaching transverse flute at the Schmitten and Niederscherli music school for 2 years and I have been teaching privately for 5 years. My course is extremely flexible - we can work with songs and songs you love, as well as the most difficult etudes and large repertoire pieces. But what always remains is a good mood, a friendly atmosphere, professional methods (correct position of the instrument, correct breathing and easy technique) and joy in music!

Hello, I am a master student at HKB and I specialize in tutoring flute and a recorder. My goal is to keep you challenged and interested, but not overwhelmed. You will learn a variety of music styles throughout the flute. I welcome english speakers of all ages and levels :)

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

I recently completed my studies in transverse flute at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice. I will move to Graz for a further master's degree and am available for lessons in music theory and practice. Being very sociable and positive, it comes naturally to me to convey the passion that music can express. I am available for lessons for children and young people of all ages.
