The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music. In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument. We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues. My name is Albina Asadullina. I teach vocal lessons for children and adults, starting from the basics and helping students develop from beginner to advanced levels. My methodology combines classical and modern techniques to help students unlock their vocal potential, build confidence, and overcome performance anxiety. In each lesson, we work on breathing exercises, articulation, and musicality. In addition to vocal training, I also teach music theory and music literature, allowing my students to better understand musical compositions and approach performance with deeper insight. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
