I offer tutoring lessons in Russian, mainly for beginners. I am open and would like to adapt to each student individually. I am looking forward to a pleasant learning atmosphere and, above all, to the enthusiasm of the student while learning. I have no official qualifications as a teacher. But I know the basics of the language and I speak it more or less fluently - Russian lessons since the first grade at my school - two longer trips to Russia and - my Russian-speaking friend. I am eager to help young people feel confident when writing sociology essays. I will place an emphasis on deconstructing the questions students are given by encouraging them to reword the question to offer a different perspective on it. In addition, the main aim of a sociology essay is to convince the reader more and more of the argument you have claimed in the introduction. I want to help students do this by helping them follow the PEAL structure, i.e. Point, Evidence, Analysis, Link back to question. I have found this a very effective and coherent way of structuring an essay. I have studied Sociology for 7 years now, at AS/A Level, Undergraduate Level and now at MSc level at LSE. I was awarded First-Class Honours in my undergraduate as well as 'Best Dissertation of the year' by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I am seeking a potential career in academia so I truly feel passionate about engaging with the lesson plans on this platform and helping students feel confident in their essay writing.
