My name is Jonathan. I am a young teacher with already 15 years of experience in the field of academic support for primary and secondary school children up to rhetoric. I have been tutoring mathematics, physics, chemistry, Latin and language courses in Latin languages, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian for more than 15 years, from basic or beginner level to grammar school level. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

While I am passionate about my subjects, I understand that not everyone is ecstatic about studying. There's no point teaching simultaneous equations to a struggling student if it isn't on the GCSE Maths Foundation syllabus! Depending on grade that the student is aiming for/predicted I will: ●spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, make it explicit what content is the core of the course content and structure lessons in descending importance ● (for higher level students) spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, identify the weakest links and structure lessons in ascending order of skill I believe in spaced repetition so revisiting topics taught before is a must! This will manifest in the form of: ●surprise questions during the first 10 minutes of lessons ●helping prepare and working through past papers when it comes closer to exam time to encourage active recall. During normal lessons, there will be a mix of: ●theoretical teaching ●helping the student digest, understand and store useful information that has been presented ●visual aspects (diagrams) In order for students to efficiently absorb knowledge, I will teach one core topic per lesson.
