I am currently in my 3rd year of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Tours and have a Scientific Baccalaureate with honors, to which is associated a European English mention (philosophy option in English). I live in Tours-centre and do not have a car but can get around by bike / public transport. You can call on me to carry out a "global" follow-up of homework (accompanying students daily to do their homework, while taking the time to take up notions that may pose difficulties or deepen certain knowledge). I can also intervene for reinforcement in certain specific subjects (scientific or non-scientific), depending on the level requested. On the occasion of the courses that I can give, I also transmit many methodological advice / aids that I myself have been able to acquire during my career. I can thus intervene with students in order to make points on “methodology and organization of work”. I address students whose school level goes from primary to high school (see post-baccalaureate for the subjects present in the 1st year of medicine), depending on the different subjects. The hourly rate varies according to the school level of the student to be accompanied. I have a habit, during my lessons, of systematically going over the theoretical bases present in the students' lessons, in order to be able to carry out as many exercises as possible afterwards in the best conditions. I strive to adapt my approach according to the profile of the student presenting to me. My school career pushed me to be very organized and concise, which can be an asset in teaching. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people).
